Avengers: Endgame came out this weekend. Their opening weekend generated $1.2 billion in sales worldwide. Are super hero movies something you enjoy watching? If so, did you see Avengers this weekend? If you don't follow Marvel movies, do you follow DC movies such as Batman?

  1. I really enjoy watching super hero movies. I have always been a big fan of actions movie and superhero movies are very often action movies. I have always enjoyed larger than life characters with awesome and innovative power fighting it our for the fate of the universe. Sadly I was not able to see Avengers end game yet but I do hope to go see it next weekend.

  2. I have not watched any of the avenger movies ever. Maybe I should give them a chance but at the same time I don't think it would be my thing. I find those movies are more for boys but I know so many people who freak out about them. I also find that it's either you're obsessed with those movies or you don't watch them there is really no in between

    1. I think the movies can be for anyone as long as you enjoy them. Great Blog!

    2. I get it. I used to like those movies a lot, but they're just not for me. I also agree that you're obsessed or you want nothing to do with the movies. It's pretty common.

    3. Honestly, I used to enjoy them more, but I find lately they are becoming to repetitive.

  3. I honestly really enjoy going to see Marvel movies because I find that it is really cool to see superheroes on the big screen because sometimes we can relate to them they appeal to our childhood sense of wonder and I did not see Avengers this weekend and I HATE myself for not trying to go and see it because now almost all my friends went to go and see it this weekend and that is the only thing that they are talking about!!! Also I am not surprised that Endgame made that much money this weekend alone because it is the last Avengers movie and it is sad to see it go.

  4. I saw Avengers this weekend and in my opinion it was really good sadly though the main marvel era is now over. I watched some of the more recent DC movies however I did not watch Aquaman or Shazam because I heard that they were bad. When I was younger I watched the dark knight trilogy and that was probably the pinnacle for DC.

  5. I used to really like super hero movies, but I don't as much. Honestly I've kind of given up on the MCU after infinity war and I have no interest in seeing end game. I also haven't seen Homecoming, Ragnarok or Into the Spider-verse but I would like to. All this being said about marvel, I don't follow DC either. I don't really like any of their recent movies, except for Wonder Woman, which was really good. I also love the Christopher Reeve Super-Man movies because I grew up watching them and they're probably the only super hero movies I will always like.

  6. So, I saw endgame this weekend. Now, I don't really care for Marvel and DC movies. The main reason I went was I wanted to get out of the house. Heck, I didn't even see Infinity war, so I was a little lost in the beginning, but it made sense through most of it.
Even though I am not a hardcore fan, I enjoyed the movie, even though it was three hours long which was time I should have been using to study for history.

  7. I have never watched a Marvel movie and I have never been interested in seeing one. Superheroes have never been an interest of mine even when I was younger. Even though I didn't see Avengers Endgame I heard that it was really good and a lot of people cried at the end of it. A lot of people have told me that I should watch a Marvel movies but personally unless I'm with a friend, I won't end up watching one. A few people I know went and they said they liked it so I think it really depends on the person since we all like different things.

  8. i LOVE marvel, the movies are simply amazing, everything little detail is thought of and relates to every movie. DC is boring, sad and just does not compare to marvel. sadly i still havent seen end game because i have a concussion so my dad wont let me

  9. I like marvel movies. I watched all of the avengers and those kinds of films. I did not go see the movie in theater because im not really trying to be in a room with 100 people for 3 hours. If you ask me the duration of this film is insanely long. Im just gonna wait until it comes out on netflix or stream it online. I dont watch DC movies cuz they seem boring.

  10. I don't personally like any marvel movies, I just don't find them interesting. I did however, used to read DC comic books in 6th grade. Everyone hyped up the movie, some liked it and some didn't. I personally would rather sit through a silent movie than watch a 3 hour movie I don't like/am not interested in but maybe in the future I'll like it more.

  11. Super hero films are things that I really enjoy, but only if they’re apart of mcu of course! I saw the new avengers this weekend and it completely destroyed me. I was balling my eyes out when my favourite super hero died. Or even when I saw some of the actors come out or when they brought back some memories. (Not gonna say any spoilers). I was so sad after the movie, some of the actors contracts are done so the fact next time they won’t all be together sucks. Honestly the movie deserves to make a lot of money because it was amazing. The way the ended the whole journey of the avengers was perfect. I low key hate DC though, it’s never gonna be as good as marvel. But to wrap it up, ya I really likt superhero movies, like a lot:)

  12. I really enjoy watching super hero movies but marvel movies are by far my favourite. I saw the new avengers film this on Friday with all my friends and it was amazing. The movie was really good because it did a really good job of ending the marvel series. Even though I was not disappointed at all with the film, I was very sad that the avengers movies had ended.

  13. I am not a fan of superhero movies particularly but marvels movies are typically funny and enjoyable. I will most likely just wait for endgame to come out before I pirate it. I normally don’t like DC as much I can’t say why, I just find them not as interesting.

    1. I agree, Marvel movies tend to have more comedy in the compared to DC movies that just aren’t as interesting

    2. I think the reason why you might not find DC better is because there is so much hype around them and then they bring a mediocre performance with their movies.

  14. I love marvel movies it is kind of like harry potter or star wars even how bad it is you must watch all the movies because you need to finish or else ocd happens and you cant get over it. Yeah i love marvel though their last movie Captain Marvel was bad. And screw DC has any seen Green lantern.

    1. I agree. But captain marvel wasn’t bad, even though Brie Larson isn’t the best of actors it’s still a good movie

  15. Superhero movies aren’t really among my favourite movie genres, but if I’m looking for something to watch and one popped up, I’d probably watch it. For the most part, they’re pretty interesting. I’ve scène a couple Avengers and other Marvel hero movies and enjoyed them. However I don’t follow Marvel movies as religiously as some of my classmates clearly do. DC movies have even less of an appeal to me, though I do love DC comics.

    1. I agree, DC's movies are getting kind of old. They've made 7 batman movies, which is 7 too many.

  16. I live for all the marvel movies. They’re so good. The movies I look forward to every year are marvel movies and the new Star Wars. I really like super hero movies in general but I find that DC doesn’t do nearly as good of a job as Marvel does. The two DC movies I really liked were Shazam and Wonder Woman. Aqua man was ok. On the contrary, I’ve really enjoyed every marvel movie I watched. They’re all amazing movies in my opinion.

  17. there is no question that superhero movies are a major part of pop culture and also generate massive amounts of money and anticipation from fans. I am personally a fan of these movies ,however, over saturation is one of the main problems. Two power players in this type of film are DC and Marvel, but the crown obviously goes to marvel. I say this not because I prefer the stories or the characters of marvel better but the way the MCU is portrayed on screen is true genius. Other reasons why Marvel is better are because I can trust them to consistently make great films, how such different characters fit into the same universe and I don't even question it and also because I care about those characters more. Most of the characters feel human and relatable, like when a literal god took a couple years off and came back completely out of shape, or when kids don't even want to take a picture with ant man, obviously there are a plethora of examples I can choose from but Im sure you get the point. Marvel MOVIE characters are much better because you can relate to them, understand their motivation and also the way they interact with each other, the dialogue for example is much more natural than DC.

  18. I do very much like to watch super hero movies. They are a just fun and entertaining. And I personally take this very seriously with my family, which makes it a bonding type thing that we can talk about as well. And yes I did see End Game this weekend and it was fireeeee. I can honestly say that my life is now complete:) And for all those who prefer DC over MCU... I don't want you reading this blog...jk

  19. I really do enjoy watching superhero movies, especially the Marvel ones like the avengers series. Although the Marvel movies are mostly at the top of my list I really like x-men a lot more than the predictable/basic superhero type movies that other companies make, like DC and sometimes Marvel.

  20. I tend not to follow any superhero films. The crew that I’ve watched such as Batman and Spider-Man have been good but I’ve never really been into the avengers. I can’t say that I don’t like the marvel films for I have never really taken the time to watch them. I’m sure that if I were to watch the movies and follow the series I’d develop a liking for it but for now End Game is not my top priority.

  21. I'm not really into any of the superhero stuff. It's not that I don't like it, it's just that at this point, I'm so far behind that there's no use in catching all the way up. I think that a lot of people really enjoy this stuff though. My friends literally won't stop talking about endgame, never the less everyone around me. My desk in history lass had spoilers written all over it!

  22. I think that’s a tone of money and personally I’m not really interested in super heroes however i know some people who were so excited about this movie it’s juts not one of my personal interests.i feel like out of the two I’m probably most likely to watch DC movies since I watched Batman when I was younger with my brother all the time.

  23. Personally, i don't rally watch any super hero movies, but I am a sucker for a good movie and I heard that Avengers End Game is a good movie so I am planning on watching it pretty soon. One thing that I find is completely absurd is the $1.2 billion dollars generated in the first weekend(as mentioned), just imagine what you could do with $1.2 billion dollars.
