Even though the Montreal Canadiens are not in the Stanley Cup playoffs, will you still be following the playoffs? If so, which team do you think will win the Stanley Cup? Explain why.
If you are not following the playoffs, did you follow the regular NHL season? Why or why not?
I used to follow hockey but sadly i dont anymore. i think its because i really dont have alot of time to watch tv. i have so little time that we dont even have cable Tv at my house. we have my xbox and roku which we use for netflix and crave. but always as a kid and still till this day i was never a montreal canadians fan. in my opnion theyre not good players. toronto maple leafs is my team. GO LEAFS GO
ReplyDeleteGreat Blog!
DeleteLeafs are trash, there good this season tho
DeleteI'm not at all a leafs fan. I disagree with but also respect your (somewhat valid) opinion.
DeleteI am sad that the Montreal Canadians are not in the play offs! I don't follow hockey at all but it is still sad that they didn't manage to make it. I never really liked hockey or watched because I am not a big fan. I don't really care who wins only that they all have fun. kool meme by the way!

DeleteSame I do not really care who wins either. Great blog!
DeleteGreat blog!
DeleteI never really did watch much hockey so no, I will not be following the NHL playoffs. I just do not find watching hockey to be all that interesting since I have a hard time following where the puck is going on the tv screen even if I do I still just to not find watching it to be entertaining.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, it was really tough this year watching Habs play. So many injuries occurred and we definitely had a shot with the wildcard but unfortunately Columbus pulled thru. I was very fortunate to have gone to a lot of games this year. After another fail this year, I won’t be keeping up as much with the playoffs. I do think though that Nashville has a good shot, and PK subban deserves it. I hope the Habs make it next year. Maybe a Canadian team could win this year, that would be nice.
ReplyDeleteThrough * sorry
DeleteI didn't really understand most of what you said, but that's my own fault. Anyway, great blog
DeleteI hope they make it next year. We need to bring back the cup.
DeleteI am a big Montreal Canadiens fan. I follow them and enjoy watching their games. I used to go to games, but now it does not really interest me to attend.
ReplyDeleteNow, the fact that the habs are not in the playoffs is both a surprise and not a surprise. While I think that this year's team was a better one, it is mostly composed of new people. I think as time goes, they will get better and better. I will probably still follow the playoffs, but not as much as a regular season. Anyway, better luck for the future. GO HABS GO.
Great blog Pan! Habs are the best team.
DeleteI do not nor have I ever followed the NHL season. There aren’t exactly any hockey fans in my household. I’m not really interested in hockey or any sport for that matter. I’d much rather spend my precious time on random Netflix shows. My very limited knowledge of the sport is all thanks to the snippets of sports jargon I hear from my friends.
ReplyDeleteI love Netflix. They have some great shows. Great blog!
DeleteNetflix is my life, great blog
DeleteAh yes, Netflix, the place where you can accidentally spend hours on without even realizing. Good blog!
DeletePersonally I do not actually watch hockey often I go to see the occasional Canadian game but I never really follow the season. Personally I think the NHL is overrated and I may be alone in this but they make a lot of money just to play a sport. However for the sole fact that I live in Montreal I always hope the Canadians win.
ReplyDeletePersonally I don't follow the NHL but solely based off the conversations I over hear between my brother and my step dad I think the Las Vegas Knights will win the Stanley Cup. According to their expertise the knights are the strongest team in the league at the moment. I used to watch hockey a lot when I was younger but now I can barely find the time to sit down with my family and a watch a game. Between sports, homework and extra curricular activities I'm constantly busy. Not to mention the times that I am free I'm usually out with friends or sleeping since I'm always exhausted. Nevertheless I always try my best to somewhat follow the playoffs. My dad and I used to always make bets and the whole family would participate in a huge pool around playoff time therefore the playoffs has always been the exception where I follow hockey even if the Canadians don't necessarily make it.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a nice tradition! Very nice blog Elisa!
Deletethat's real cute elisa! great blog.
DeleteI used to be a big fan of the NHL but I stopped watching it because im more into the NBA now. Hockey is a big deal in my house, my whole family is Montreal Canadians fans but im the only one who likes the Philadelphia Flyers. They didn't make the playoffs either. In my opinion, I think Tampa bay Lighting are going to face the Las Vegas Knights in the finals. Tampa Bay is going to win because so far they are the best overall. I followed the season and I know for a fact im going to watch the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteI disagree. I'm putting my money on Vegas, they're the best and they're my second favourite team. The only reason I'm rooting for the jets is because they're Canadian. I can understand where you're coming from though.
DeleteI have to be honest, I really don't care whether or not the Canadians are in Playoffs or if there is any playoffs because I don't watch hockey. In my entire life, I have never watched a whole game and I'm not planning on doing it either. Although I don't care about hockey, I know of a lot of people who's lives revolve around it, and I could definitely respect that. It seems like a fun sport, and a tough one at that, but I have never learnt how to skate
ReplyDeletecannot relate lol
DeleteI do not keep up with the NHL, although I used to. I used to know all the players, their numbers and their names. I haven't kept up with the games in years, and that's mainly because i'm just not interested in it anymore. I used to go the game with my dad because he would get free tickets, but he's changed jobs since, and i haven't been in forever. From what I hear it sounds like people have confidence in the Vegas team.
ReplyDeleteI also have a feeling that Vegas is going to win. Great blog
Deletemy fam is a huge hockey fam so we always watch the playoffs, but our team are the montreal canadiens, and they havent been in for like 4 years so ill probably just watch a couple games but ill for sure be watching the finals.
ReplyDeleteI never watched hockey and I don't think I'll start, mainly because I don't find any sports enjoyable to watch (sometimes football if it's a good day). Other than that, I have no interests. None of my family members have been a fan of the NHL, neither are the cousins on my dad's side when we'd go over to their house for a family reunion.
ReplyDeleteSince the Habs are out of the playoffs, I will not be following the playoffs as much as strictly as I would if the Canadiens were in the playoffs. Even though the Canadiens are no longer in the playoffs, I will still watch the more interesting games like the Stanley cup final games and if the bruins play the leafs. I followed the regular season a little bit but I watch all the playoff games the Habs play when they make it because the games are a lot more intense and fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteIt’s almost the same with me.
DeleteI’m not really a fan of any teams, and I don’t really follow hockey. I’m not going to watch many of the regular playoffs games but I will watch the Stanley cup finals. I didn’t follow the regular season at all, except I did participate in fantasy hockey so I kind of followed which teams were good but I didn’t follow the habs.
ReplyDeleteI am a habs fan and was keeping up with them during the regular season, but since they're not in the playoffs, I don't keep up anymore. However, I am rooting for the Winnipeg Jets to win because they are in my top 5 favourite teams and I will never be caught cheering for the leafs or the bruins. Sorry guys. Even though I'm not keeping up, if my brothers are watching a game, I'll watch it with them and act neutral instead of rooting for one team or another. Hopefully next year we make the playoffs. For now, go Jets!
ReplyDeleteJust to clarify, Vegas is my second favourite team but I'm rooting for the jets because they are Canadian and in my top 5.
DeleteI don't really watch hockey but when I do I get really into it. It's the same with the Olympics, even if I have no idea how to play the sport I'll watch it and scream half the time saying "Oh my gosh hurry up or you gotta go faster to beat the Americans!! I absolutely love watching the Olympics, especially the winter Olympics just because I like the sports more. I'm not sure who's going to win the Stanley Cup but it'll probably be an American team because I'm pretty sure a Canadian team hasn't won in decades.
ReplyDeletesame here I don't follow great blog btw.
DeleteI mean I don't purposely follow hockey in general I would say I am sad that they got so close, but I wouldn't follow it isn't my sport. I would rather watch other things. But I do hope that the Habs will make it on eventually I mean they are our team so I feel like I have to cheer the team on. Good Luck next year guys.
ReplyDeleteMy family are huge hockey fans and follow the NHL season every year. This year my dad watched pretty much every game that the Montreal Canadians played. I personally don't watch every game but I'll catch a few here and there. Since the habs aren't in the playoffs this year, I don't really have an interest in watching them as my favourite team are the Montreal Canadians. I'll probably end up watching the final game just to see who wins the Stanley Cup but other than that I have no interest.

Deletehockey is not my favourite sport by any means but I will still be following the playoffs for this specific reason. Many of my friends are huge hockey fans and it is hard to fit into the conversation I must follow hockey just a little but, anyways are you even Canadian if you don't follow hockey? Plus the suspense is always very entertaining and verve racking.
ReplyDeleteHockey isn’t really my favourite sport but I do watch it with my family a lot so I’ll probably keep watching because of them but not really as much as I would have if the habs were in the play offs.
ReplyDeleteit is pretty boring
DeletePersonally I do not like watching hockey because It is not my thing so having the habs in the finals or not does not make any difference in my life. I think it is a shame that they are not and I understand why some boys would be upset but if they were there or not I would no watch
