Blog 7 - Wednesday, October 3, 2018

Since Thanksgiving is around the corner, we need to remember to be thankful for what we have and thankful for who we are surrounded by.

For this blog, write about someone you feel deserves a BIG THANK YOU!
Why do they deserve a BIG THANKS?

Explain.

  1. For this blog I’m going to right about my mom. I am thankful for my mom for many reasons but the main one is because she raised me. She made me who I am. Without her I would probably be a way different person. And plus she’s works so hard for the family and she deserves a huge thanks.

  2. To start off, I'm dedicating this blog to my mother, although I'm very thankful for everyone I have in my life, my mother is the backbone of the family ♥. She has been there for me since day 1, out of the womb, she has never had the type of love that she does for her kids. I am writing for my mom today because I've never seen such a hard working mother, she works 8 hrs a day (sometimes even more), comes home to cook for us because "you guys are my priorities", wakes up at 6:30 every morning to get ready for work, and repeats. I would cry my heart out if my mother passed away because she means the world to me and I try to do my best in school to make her proud.

  3. Thanksgiving is a holiday in which my whole family and I celebrate at either my grandparents, cousins or my house every year. We eat and celebrate with our weird music and share what we are thankful for. To be honest, I am so thankful to everyone who has surronded me for the past 14 years and 337 days of my life because you have all changed me for the better in some way shape or form. I am also and probably most thankful for my parents. My mom is a house mom and needs to put up with me for 356 days of the year. My dad which works 10 hours a day at a very stressful job and has to come back to my sister and also put up with us. I am so thankful for them and from the bottom of my heart thankful for all the work they put in for us everyday.

  4. The person I am most grateful would have to be my grandmother. Ever since I was young she always got me treats and on top of that she cooks dinner for my family on the weekdays every week even in the summer and when I go over to my grandparents place after school she makes my brothers and I a snacks because we are hungry.

  5. For this blog, I am going to dedicate it to my grandmother on my mom's side that passed away when I was in grade 5 though it seems like a long time ago she is still one of the most important people in my life. when I was small she would always be on my side listening to me and would be the person that I could be with or talk to when I have no one else. I would make the times I was with her the best it could be because she lived in China so it was only once a year that I would go back and see them.

  6. One person who I am very grateful for is my mom. I am very grateful for her because she always helps me with my homework and she makes our family healthy food to eat every week. I am also grateful that my mom asks my brother and I how our day went every day because this proves just how much she cares for us and how much work she puts into being a mom.

  7. I have many people in life that I am thankful for including my mom, grandmother, aunt and many others. The person I believe is the most important in my life and that I am most thankful for is my dad. He has taught me so much and I am very grateful because a lot of the stuff he taught me will help me to survive in the real world. He is also always pushing me to do better and to try my best for everything I do. I wouldn't be the person I am today without him and for that reason I am very thankful.

  8. Someone I am very thankful for is my mom. I know a lot of people are doing it about their mother’s but it’s because mom’s are amazing. Especially my mom. Everyday she works ten hours shifts. My mom always puts a meal on the table and it’s always delicious. My mom cares so much about my family and she is a literal superhero. She drives me to every single ringette or soccer game. My mom is there for me whenever I need her. I couldn’t be more thankfull for my wonderful mom.

  9. This thanksgiving I am very thankful for my math teacher Ms Macdonald. I hate math but I love her class. For the fist time since third grade I completely understand what's going on. She is a really fun teacher too. In my opinion she's sort of perfect. Not only does she give super good math lessons but she also organized Terry Fox. Terry Fox was a lot of fun and I know how much work she put into it. I admire her hard work ethic and I am excited for the rest of the year in math class.

  10. Someone that I'm very thankful for is for sure my father. I've learnt so much from him and I admire him. He always gives me advice when I need it and I don't know what I'd do without him in my life. My dad is one of my best friends and whenever I'm around him, I always seem to be happy. There's never a dull moment with him and he's just the best. I'm very thankful for both of my parents but there's just something special between my dad and I.

  11. There are a lot of people who I should be thank in this blog entry but the person that deserves the biggest thanks from me is my dad. My dad is awesome, we play football together, do lawn work together, and much more. He is also very supportive of everything, when it comes to sports or education and I kind of feel bad because I think I should be saying it every day.

  12. Someone who I am thankful for is my brother. We have gone through a lot together and I know he is someone I can talk to about anything. Im the only person he shows his funny side to and I know he will always have my back. My brother is older then me and we have so many memories I can't even count. He is one of the most important people in my life and I am so thankful to have him as my shoulder to lean on and as my brother.

  13. There are so many people I could be thanking in this blog and I'd be here all day if I were to thank them all, but I would really like to thank a teacher I had in secondary two, Ms. Broniszewski. I would really like to thank her because I don't think I ever had the chance to do so. I loved her class so much and it made me realize the importance of teaching and that it can be such an amazing career. I was always excited to be in her class and I not only learned so much from the english class curriculum, but I learned so much about life as well. She made me realize that being in school, learning and teaching isn't just about the curriculum but about finding joy in learning and learning things that will be useful outside the classroom and in the real world. She is also an extremely empathetic person and I'd always feel better in her class when I was having a bad day. Thank you Ms. Broniszewski!

*I am sorry this blog was late. I was on the Stratford trip and did it as soon as possible.

  14. i am thankful that i was born in a place that was born in a place that is more fortunate than the rest of the world. but i am also not going to waste this opportunity that i have been given for free. Me being alive in a place where my education is free and i am able to pursue a life of health and happiness in a blessing that not every one has a chance at. and I am deeply wounded by the fact that i live in a world where one side of the world consumes and consumes where we could be sharing and helping other people who are less fortunate. I am thankful that i was put on this side but i feel that it is our responsibility to change the fate of so many to come by closing the gap and establish a world of equal opportunity for all

  15. If you truly wish to give thanks to someone you wouldn't give them a big thank you. You would tell them how much they mean to you. If I did what Mr. Katz said then it would seem like I was being sarcastic and insecure. For these reasons I believe that I should refrain from this activity. Not to mention the origin of thanks giving has nothing to do with being grateful or and instead was made into that by European missionaries trying to make the colonies more religious and appeal to them.

  16. One person I need to thank is my mother. she does so many things for me on a daily basis and I usually don't thank her for it. She also let me go on the Stratford trip which was really fun for me and I still haven't thanked her yet for letting me go. She also works so I can do a really expensive sport that almost no other parent would let their kids do since it is so expensive.

  17. A person who really deserves a thanks is my dad. He is the reason I am who I am. He has always been there to help me out with everything, such as math, which I really struggled with last year and with his help, my grades slowly got better. We really enjoy listening to music together, and when we're driving together, we listen to the radio and talk music. He is a great father.

I'm very thankful for her and i don't know what I'd do without her. she always tries her best and will help me with any problem i bring to her.

  19. My mom deserves a big thanks. She does so much for me and my family. Lately life has been very stressful for her but she is still managing to make everyone happy and making everything okay. She loves me and my family more than anything and will do absolutely anything for us, and we all feel so grateful to have her around and making our lives what they are even if we don’t always show it.

  21. I’m most thankful for my mom and everything she does for me. She works hard and always does her best to make my brother and I happy. She’s always there for me no matter what and always makes time to come support me. I can always count on her to be in the stands cheering me on. I appreciate everything she’s sacrificed for me. I can’t thank her enough.

  23. someone I feel very thankful for is my best friend liv, she's always there for me and if I'm having a tough day and don't feel like getting out of bed she will force me to get up and going. she always pushes me to do stuff I wouldn't do on my own and motivates me to be more spontaneous, and less anxious.
