  1. It is not acceptable to be a pedophile in any way shape or form however I believe that it is important to separate the artist from his works, for that reason I do not think that the Jackson songs should be recalled however it is vital that people remember what he has done. It also gives a whole new meaning to his song "bad".

  2. First of all songs should be played because they are good songs. The person who sang them should not influence our opinion of a song. Many of the people who did some of the most amazing things did some stuff that was pretty uncool but their creations don't change because our view of a person changes. Also we need to make sure someone is pedophile before accusing them (Something people seem to forget these days) because conclusive evidence these days can be "ya I heard for a dude who heard from a gal that some dude down the street got raped by (Insert famous person with bright future)." In conclusion we should keep playing songs even if the man behind them is not the angel we thought he was and if people really don't want to listen to his songs then they are closed minded and don't deserve to listen to them anyways.

    1. Exactly. Enjoy an artist's songs. Don't go to into depth over an artist's personal life.

  3. I have rarely heard Michael Jackson songs being played on the radio so It would not bother me if his music is gone. But I do think that we should not support someone who is a pedophile because it would be in bad taste and pedophiles should not really gain good publicity or be endorsed because it would be bad if children thought that pedophilia is okay.

  4. I think Michael Jackson's songs should still be played because he isn't alive to defend himself. His music is still great and everyone enjoys it so I don't see the harm in playing his music. This whole thing is causing huge problems and it might not even be true. Even if he was a pedophile I don't know why they shoulf take off his songs

  5. I have never heard a Micheal Jackson song on the radio in a long time. The last time I remember a Micheal Jackson song on the radio was at least 10 years ago when I was 4 or 5. I think that it is okay to put a paedophiles songs on the radio because music is there to bring happiness in peoples lives and since he is already dead, he is not making any profit off his songs.

  6. I find Michael Jackson to be a very good and talented artist. I really don't have an opinion on whether he is a pedophile or not. Even if he is a pedophile, we should not deny his influence in the music industry. Tons and tons of artists have done some bad things in their lives. For example, does anybody know how bad a person John Lennon was? He used to beat his first wife Cynthia, he wrote a song constantly repeating, and I don't even understand what he means by it, " Woman is the N-word of the world." Yet, even after all of this, he is praised by the music industry.
So, maybe Michael Jackson was a pedo. We may never know for sure. Still, we can not deny his amazing contributions to music. Play his songs, just like the way people like to play the Beatles.

  7. I personally haven't really heard any of his songs on the radio, but I think that it is fine if his songs are on the radio because it was a very different time back them, but if it happened in this time period, it would be absolutely unacceptable.

  8. Michael Jackson was a good singer, I never really listened to his songs other than when he was in a band with his siblings (I Want You Back), but he's such an oldie. I mean Michael Jackson was who he was, you couldn't change the actions he decided to make. Even if he was a pedophile, he chose to be like that, people who enjoy his music probably only care about the music, and not the stuff that happens out of the music industry.

  9. ^and it wouldn't hurt anyone if they kept playing his music.

  10. I mean I never really listen to Micheal Jackson songs, I mean I wouldn't hurt if we still played it he was kind of like a legend in music. A lot of songs these days are about sex or have something to do with sex which I think is worst, I feel that I know that Micheal Jackson songs should not be banned for that very reason.

    2. Why does it seem like you are justifying pedophilia with the fact that songs nowadays are filled with sexual innuendos. I feel like I am missing some part of your message

  11. Being a pedophile is not at all ok. They should get help as they are clearly mentally ill. But Michael Jackson's songs shouldn't be banned. He was one of the greatest artists and made great music that is still played today. We shouldn't shun someone for having a mentally ill mind. He was abused as a kid and was obviously going to have some sort of problems.

  12. I don't think Michael Jackson's songs should be banned because of what he has done. Hes music portrays good messages that people, should they like his music, should ,listen to in order to lift their spirits. I do believe however that if he were alive and relatively well, he should have been placed in prison and seek help. Pedophilia is definitely something that should be frowned upon and and people with it should definitely look for some help.

  13. Even though this documentary came out about Michael Jackson, I don't think that radio stations should stop playing his music. Yes, being a pedophile isn't right by any means but Michael Jackson isn't even alive to defend himself. He's an icon for many people and I think that he changed music in a special way. Also how many times do you actually hear a Michael Jackson song play on the radio? Not that often so personally I don't that it'll hurt anyone if his songs continued to play.

  14. I have not watched this documentary yet but I do have a lot of questions for the people making these accusations on a dead man’s body ( especially 10 years after his death). I also question the credibility of these accusations, especially if one day they are proven as false accusations. I do understand that Micheal was treated very wrongly as a child but the timing of the accusations just strikes me as being very weird. Obviously I do think his songs should still be played as there is no criminal evidence that he 100% comitted these crimes. I do not think someone should support a CONFIRMED pedophile unless you strongly believe they were wrongly accused of the crime or if the pedophilia charges are very minuscule (like for example peeing in a public park) you could be charged with pedophilia if caught urniating in a public area especially where a lot of kids are.

  15. Its a little sus how these accusations are only being published now but I do find Michael Jackson to be very talented, he also went through an extremely rough time as a child but thats besides the point. I dont see why they should take him off the radio, Chris Brown beat Rihana yet his music is still being played. I know that its not the same offense but still. We dont even know if the accusations are real and there are already radio stations taking his stuff off the radio. We dont know the full story and honestly we will never know because he has passed on.

  16. I definitely think that it's not ok to support a pedophile but it would be wrong if his songs became banned from playing on the radio especially since he's dead. If he were still here today I think his songs would be banned from every type of music platform because in today's society it's unacceptable to do what he did and people would want to make sure he doesn't make any revenue from anywhere. Lady Gaga got rid of her song with R Kelly on every music platform so I can just imagine what people would do with Michael Jackson if he were alive. Also, it's not really fair towards Michael Jackson since he's not here to defend himself.

    2. I get where you're coming from when you say it's not fair towards him seeing as how he's not here to defend himself. It's apparently been confirmed, and if anything the backlash would have been much worse if he were around to be personally blamed

  17. It is absolutely not acceptable to support pedophiles. However, I don't think that his songs should be recalled because they are amazing. It was said by Jackson's family that the documentary was one sided and that they didn't get a chance to see it and confirm beforehand. His family has been defending him, and I definitely think his songs shouldn't be recalled because he, the person accused, isn't even here to defend himself or provide counter evidence. It would probably be a very different story if he was around today.

  18. I don't think that anyone ever should support pedophiles. His music is very popular, and it's not going to be easy for the world to stop listening to his bops. Then again, of course we shouldn't support a pedophile, but I think his music and who he is are two different things. It's tough to say if we should just cut out his music all together, because it's like a part of history, and it is really good. I think we should definitely not support him, but supporting his music is something different.

    1. I agree, supporting his music is not the same thing as encouraging pedophilia.

  19. There is absolutely no valid reason to support a pedophile. Pedophilia is a serious crime and the thought of an individual insinuating sexual misconduct with a child/minor is absolutely sick. Michael Jackson was a role model to many and commonly known as the king of pop. His legacy inspired many. I don't think it's right for them to recall his songs especially since he is not alive to defend himself against these allegations. I don't think supporting his music is the same thing as supporting him as a pedophile.

  20. Personally I feel pedophiles should not be supported at all in any way, however micheal Jackson is one of the biggest music inspirations of all time and not only did he do so much for for people on other ways like charity and much more he’s also not even alive to defend himself personally I find it sick people are going after a dead man let him Rest In Peace

  22. Being a pedophile is terrible. It’s weird. This type of situation is difficult. Yes Michael Jackson was a pedophile but he was also the king of pop. I don’t think his music should not be played anymore. I just think that the victim deserves justice. And to notify the world who Micheal was for the victims needs so he doesn’t have to hide anymore. I have heard from many people that he was a legend. But then again, you can’t just stop playing an artist music. It’s always gonna be out there. Micheal was wrong, and he’s gross. But you can’t do anything about it cause he’s not here.

  23. We most certainly should never support a confirmed pedophile, nor should we ever consider redeeming one. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean we should ban all of his music right off the bat. It probably would make sense if his music were played a lot less, but at the end of the day, he’s no longer profiting off of his music. Obviously, Michael Jackson was considered a musical legend, the “King of Pop”, and he made amazing music. It reached world wide. There is no way that it would suddenly just disappear. I think that though his music shouldn’t get banned, it wouldn’t make sense to say, blast his songs at a party acting oblivious to the fact that he in fact was a pedophile.

  24. Honestly I do not think that we should support a confirmed pedophile because imagine how the kids who loved were destroyed would feel if we supported him but also it did not mean that we should ban it right away because he was a huge part of our lives, he was known as the King of Pop but it does not mean that we should be playing his music from the rooftops or at parties.

  25. Honestly I think we should let the man Rest In Peace. Yes he’s made mistakes but by not hearing his songs anymore how does that help you. And if anything it’ll make it worse because so many people love Michael Jackson’s music. It’s stupid because the same thing happened with xxxtentacion when he died. I say let him Rest In Peace and let his music live on.

  26. many people are saying that we should let it be because he is dead and just continue to play his music without thinking about it too much; however, i believe that letting something like this go is a very stupid move for our society to make. let me start off by saying that i myself am a fan of Michael Jackson's ART, and that it is important to make the separation between Michael Jackson as a man and as a musician. the man was extremely talented and was very influential, but the things he allegedly did are not tone taken lightly, and can not be forgotten. it is important that we don't say "let him rest in piece" or "he's dead so we should forget it" because maybe he is dead but the people who he effected revery much alive and are dealing with the fact that someone has powerful and influential as MICHEAL JACKSON abused them. All is not forgiven and the only thing we can do at this point is look into the phycology behind all of this and also show some support to those effected. also i want to express as best I can how messed up this situation is, this man who is looked up to by so many and is considered one of the most famous people of all time, carefully and meticulously picked his victims who he then committed unspeakable acts to. not only that, be he basically got away with it his entire life.

I believe that what we should do is inspect his music and remove any with any pedophilic connotation. No one should be listening to music that hints to doing something illegal. There is also a big problem with pedophilia in Hollywood, so many people have been confirmed pedophiles and they are still living normal lives and their media is still popular. This has been known for a long time and it just sickens me to know that nothing is happening about it.

i think this is crazy, he's dead and people are going to disrespect a legend like that, just let him rest, he's not even there to defend himself. even if he did rape someone they should still play his music, hes an icon and revolutionized the music industry, playing his music isn't encouraging rape

  29. I think people are letting this disgusting behavior pass just because he is a "legend", at the end of the day he raped many little boys, and impacted them for the rest of their lives. people see this and will think that its fine because he got away with it
