Blog 9 - Monday, October 15, 2018

Last week at the White House, Kanye West went on a lengthy rant to reporters about why he supports President Trump.

This week, it is your turn to rant. BLOG 9 is FREE CHOICE!  You could blog about whatever it is you want, except what you've already blogged about!  You could go on a rant or you could simply blog about something important to you.

Be creative and write about something you feel important or something you would like to tell your audience. Write about something you are passionate about.

You must remember your audience. It is not simply me (Ms. Carbray) reading this blog!  If you will be ranting about a certain individual, you need to leave their name out of this. You could give them a pseudonym (example: Mr. Ed) or simply leave their name as anonymous. Make sure your language is appropriate. Do not go on swearing tangents.

  1. Today I have decided to write about an Issue that I have with the school not the dress code policy but they decided to ban chess from the library. I do not understand why they did that. It makes no sense. For juniors they have a chess club that takes place in the library at lunch but then seniors are not allowed to play. If the issue is that chess players a being to loud I still think that is flawed because generally in the library there is a racket and also when I play or watch people play we are not making that much noise. Also if the issue is that it takes up space we had an entire bench of seats added so now there is like 16 more seats which in other words that is basically four more tables. On top of that chess is actually good for you educationally it requires you to think of series of moves and to be logical so why would this be taken out of the library?

    1. I don’t understand either why they took chess away in the library. Great blog griffin!

    2. I don't think those are things that only apply to the people playing chess in the library, if anything, everyone else is the problem. I don't think it's valid that they decided to ban chess for seniors either. Great blog griffin!

    4. I also really liked playing chess in the library and I have no idea why they thought it was a good idea to remove it.

  2. I agree with you Griffin because as you have mentioned it is weird that they would not allow seniors to play chess in library and the fact that it may because that it makes too much noise, there are people that make way more noise so it is crazy that they won't let people play chess.

  3. Something I feel very passionate about is ringette. This is my favourite sport because since I was seven it has given me the drive to do my best. I’m a very lucky to play with my closest of friends. I don’t know what I’d be doing if I didn’t play. I’ve worked very hard theses past years and it finally payed off due to being in a higher level and playing with girls who are stronger and who will push me to do my best and be the best. I love ringette.

  4. Part 1
My life is an average life I’d say, but I’m going to talk about how it was forever changed. When I was in the 7th and 8th grade, I was continuously bullied by three girls on my hockey team. I don’t want to name them so let's call them Margot, Toddy and Mika. They bullied me for both those years for multiple reasons; I wasn’t very good, my dad was the coach and they were just over all disrespectful. I got yelled at all the time and we’ve easily gotten into many verbal fights in the locker room and on the ice, on the brink of violence. I tried to just tune them out, but in my head, there was just a massive echo of their voices. I ignored them and told myself not to get mad because they didn’t matter to me. Just saying it would hurt far more if someone I cared about said anything like that made think about how things could easily be worse. Although I had no violent, verbal or emotional reaction, in my head I was upset, angry, sad, frustrated and feeling inferior. There would be long car rides home where I’d be on the brink of tears and ready to just let it all out but it never happened...until one day.
*The character count was way over so I had to submit this blog in two parts.

  5. Part 2
After one practice, these girls were being extra disrespectful, not listening to a thing the coach said and ignoring all instructions; even yelling at other girls. At one point, Margot took a shot after she was told not and it hit our amazing helper (let’s call her Anne). I was about to lose it but she was kicked off the ice for that. Her, Toddy and Mika were all yelling in the locker room but Anne and I started talking back. That night we got into the most violent verbal fight I’d ever been in, and I was part of it, for the first time I didn’t settle for what I thought was total garbage. The three girls and everyone in the locker room got so heated in this war of words that a skate was thrown across the room, aimed at the trash (it didn't hit anyone). On the long car ride home (about 40 minutes) I tried to talk to my dad about the practice calmly but we were both so frustrated and at one point I started choking on my words. He told me that I needed to think about it for a bit, and so not to talk. For the rest of the way home I silently cried not letting anyone in the car notice. That’s the night I lost it. I’d had enough and I just couldn’t deal with them anymore. The rest of the year, we played games, had practices and had verbal fights. They were never the same though. We played in silence, practiced ignoring each other, fought with less will and lost whatever sense of teamwork we ever had. The team had been torn apart. Through all of this I had supportive teammates (around 5), a supportive coach and a supportive helper. I never reacted violently towards my teammates, even though it was tempting at times, I’ve only ever reacted verbally once. I took all my anger out on the ice, which is when I started adapting to the aggressive side of hockey. This eventually made me a more confident and generally better player. So as the second year came to an end, I wasn’t sad but I wasn’t happy. I loved hockey but I hated these girls for what they’d done. They made me want to react violently which I never want to do and they wanted to make me feel inferior, which worked for a while. So as the summer went on, I prepared for another year of resonating chaos and frustration, creating negativity that I might bring out in my everyday life. Then on one beautiful summer day, I’d gotten word that they’d switched teams. I was truly ecstatic because I thought I might finally be able to enjoy hockey without such stress and pain. I was right. When I got on the ice this year, I found that there was friendship, not hate and that there was peace between all of us. The peace felt like euphoria, which leads me to how I feel I’ve been forever changed. If I don’t like someone, I’m frustrated, I’m upset, I want to react with violence or hurtful words, I will calmly and respectfully talk to whoever it is I am having a problem with or to someone about the way I feel like reacting or the problem I am having. I try to avoid the unneeded chaos and keep things peaceful and respectful. I now believe that everyone deserves not only respect, but the ability to talk about their problems without causing trouble. This whole thing had simply made me realize the importance of remaining calm and being honest and respectful at all times.

  6. For my free choice I blog I decided to write about something that annoys me about people. I really don't understand why people decide to be so judgemental towards everyone and everything. People will judge others on literally everything whether it's physical appearance, grades in school, the clothes you wear and much more for no apparent reason. Wherever you are you are constantly being judged by people even if you don't know them. I'm not saying everyone is this this or that I've never done this, but I have been and witnessed certain situations where people will judge a certain person for the way they look, for the clothes they're wearing and for grades they get in school. This is something that bothers me a lot considering that we are all different in our own ways and we should be able to look and act the way we want without having the feeling of being judged. Not everyone is perfect and I think many people try to achieve perfection but, in reality, it doesn't really exist. Personally I think everybody needs to give each other a chance before having a hateful or rude opinion on them. Even though everyone has an opinion sometimes, if it's something rude, I think it's better to keep it to yourselves since it can really hurt someones feelings and destroy their self confidence.

I went on for a long time not knowing what I should write about until. I gave up I searched a random topic generator and gave me a topic and I got: What do you want to do when you grow up? I was fine with this because I did it already in P.O.P class and it was 984 words. and I am happy to do it again. The job I would want to be is a Marine Biologist. I know you guys might be wondering why a Marine Biologist why not a Lawyer or a Doctor. I have a simple answer to that. Only 5% of the ocean has been explored and discovered who knows what is out there who knows if I might be the next one to find a new species and name it after me. All in all, I just love science and how life works how animals work how they adapted I have always been fascinated by sea creatures. You might be thinking well we only discovered either a lot less or equal to 50% and dinosaurs are animals kind of. But dinosaurs are not living it I just love water and everything that lives in it out of like 30 sea turtle eggs only 3-6 actually survive. It is mindblowing the things you can learn about this animal. Though the salary isn't the best but like all things in life you have to work for be the best. The better you are the more you get the salary is between 48000-185000. Marine biologists spend the majority of their time traveling to different islands and oceans conducting their experiments. Secondly, marine biologist gets used equipment costing as much as one million dollars to conduct research. For the last advantage, and the reason most marine biologists love their work, ecology is a huge advantage for the marine biological world. Preserving wildlife is what makes the study of marine biology so important. Marine Biologist spends most of they’re day conducting species inventories, testing and monitoring sea creatures exposed to pollutants, collecting and testing ocean samples, preserving specimens and samples of unknown species and diseases, and mapping the distribution, ranges, or movements of marine populations. They have risks at work because a lot of them work on islands or in the middle of the ocean they get training so they can survive different accidents such as hurricanes and if you are stuck underwater or if you are with sharks. They are risks so you do have to listen to meteorologist if they say there are hurricanes that are coming. You can have different opportunities to do other things such as being chosen to do a deep sea exploration or writing a book about marine biology or if you discover something new you the thing may be named after you and you can win awards for it. You can climb the table one step at a time to get to a higher position in your jobs. The higher you are the

more pay you get like I said before you could just be making 185k a year. In conclusion, I want to be a marine biologist because I love science and I love discovering new things. I don’t really care about the pay as long as I can survive while doing something I like to do then I am fine, but I still want to try to climb and make my higher and higher in ranks at work to be the experienced guy that everyone goes to ask for help or information. Also, I would love to be in the water and see things. I want to go to friends and said I did something or I discover or saw something. They will probably never see in their life. That is why I find this job so interesting. You get to see different creatures explore coral reefs and take underwater photography you test experiments on a disease that kill the marine animals or aquatic animal whatever you want to call them they are create creatures and I would love to help them in anyway possible. Moderating animals travel to see where they all are and watch them all together and having the rights to say that I have done it before and go down in a cage and study sharks. Who among your friends and say that they have been 1 feet away from a shark. We are the people who will stop shark poaching. like I said before animals of sea come to me naturally. I have so many questions that I hope someday can be explained to me. Such as how can aquatic animals start swimming right after there born. What are ocorals made of. What other part of the oceans. DO prehistoric sharks still live and other questions that we will not go to deep into. These are all questions that we might have. I want to be one of the only person to go down into the Mariana Trench the deepest place on earth wait never mind the Kola Super Borehole is deeper, but you never know there might be another section under the Mariana Trench people might be like there is no way but who knows for certain that there isn't no one has gone that far. I just want to be the first person to discover something new and call it there own discovery like I said before who can say the discovered a new animal.

  10. It took me a long time before I knew what I wanted to write about. So I decided to write about the Quebec Provincial elections.
On October 1st, provincial elections were held in our province, which resulted in the Victory of the CAQ ( Coalition Avenir Québec). They won the majority of seats in the Quebec national assembly, controlling 74 out of 125 seats. That's 59% of the total assembly. What I am worried about is what Francois Legault, leader of the CAQ, will do that may change the province over a long period of time.
Let's think of him as this. We can technically call him the Quebecois Trump: He is a businessman who was put into power after winning a large majority and he seems to have no idea what he's is talking about.
My first example: he wants to pass a law stating that no one can wear in the workforce any form of religious headgear. For example, a sikh would not be able to wear a Turban, a muslim woman would not be able to wear a hijab, and a jewish person would not be able to wear a kippah. However, when Legault was asked about possibly removing the Crucifix, a cross that hangs on the wall within the Quebec national assembly, because it was a religious symbol, he said not, because the crucifix is, according to him, a symbol of Quebec's history.
First of all, I think I speak for most people when I say that the crucifix, is for a fact, a christian symbol. Second, you can not state that a crucifix represents all of Quebec's history because their were and still are indigenous groups within this province that were here long before the French even knew about North America. If you want to hang an object that depicts all of Quebec's history, maybe they should hang a painting.
I do not think that this Prime minister will be the worse. I strongly agree that maybe we should raise the age of being allowed to smoke marijuana to 21 instead of 18. However, I feel that some decisions that this newly elected prime minister will make will have quite a few negative consequences on this province.

  11. This is a little rant and a "lesson" I guess, the "fight" happened either before or during my birthday week. There WERE 7 of us in our friend group, but then (let's call her Del) Del started to act differently and a bit more "rude". She started to hang out with other girls and would ignore us. I'm not saying you can't make new friends, just don't forget your old ones, you know? That's exactly what she did, she would favour her new friends that she only made this year and whenever Del's new friends weren't around, she'd always run back to us and pretended like nothing ever happened. The "fight" is still going on to this day and our friend group is annoyed with fighting her, she has apologized more than 4 times yet she keeps doing it and it's annoying to me because she's telling lies to other people. Honestly, I thought she was nice in the years she was my friend but now that I see her true colours, it's awful. She also started bashing me, and me only in the halls because we're the one who're fighting the most. Moral of the story is; know where you stand, don't keep bringing back toxic people in your life because it'll make you even more miserable. Whenever she was with us I realize now that we did EVERYTHING she wanted to do, we couldn't have our fun, all we ever did was do what she wanted. Now she's trying to come back to us for the fourth time. I mean it is what it is but I'll still know what's best for me.

  12. So I was thinking about what I should write this week in my head and this beautiful idea popped up in my head. I wanted to think outside of the box so thought about friends. We all get bored sometimes right? Whenever this happens I resort to would you rather questions and my favourite (by far) is the topic I will be writing about this week: Would you rather know when you die, or how you die? For most people, this would you rather takes them a little to process. Obviously people tell me, "Well if I know I will die in a car accident I will never drive or go into a car". Well first of all the future can't be changed and second of all you still can be killed by a car let's say if you were to walk on basicaly any street. If there a way, there's a will. If you were to ask me, I would probably pick when I would die. What I would do is not care about the date everyday, try as much to enjoy my life and make sure before that date I would have done everytrhing I wanted to in life. Anyways, we all die someday. I think if you were told how you will die that it'll hold you back everyday, because maybe it is today you will die, maybe it is tomorrow. I feel that that would be a very hard life not knowing if you were going to die in seconds, minutes, hours, days or years but you will have that on your shoulder everyday of your life.

To be honest I feel like an old man sometimes like on weekends I fall asleep at like 8. But I don't only sleep well at home I can sleep anywhere. I fall asleep in classes way too often I find myself to always be sleeping on the bus and if i'm tired enough I will sleep on any floor. I don't know what the matter is with me I always get like 12 hours of sleep of night at night because I'm exhausted and then at school and during the day I am still exhausted. So to end this blog maybe some of you know what my problem is hopefully my sleeping issues aren't a life or death situation.

I decided to rant about mouse pads because I feel like companies should create better mouses which can work on any surface instead of forcing us to buy mouses pads just so we can use a mouse. I also think that maybe mouse companies are creating mouses that cannot work on normal surfaces just so you have to buy a mouse pad with your mouse so that the company can make an extra profit. Even though we will never know if companies have purposely designed their mouses to only work with mouse pads, I think that if companies are doing this on purpose that this is a genius idea since they no longer have to spend time and money perfecting their mouse when they could sell their incomplete mouse with a $5 piece of plastic as well.

  15. For this blog I’d like to talk about some school rules. I find that the earbuds not being aloud is crazy. I understand in class it can be disrespectful but in the halls it should be bothering anyone and if the teachers (not all but some) web see a wire and it’s not even in your ears, they still give you a detention and take them away for a bit. And the dress code is also annoying because if a tiny bit of a girls back is showing she has to pile on more clothes when it’s like a million degrees outside. I just find some of those rules annoying, especially since other schools aren’t so strict and get by just fine!

ANNOYING little brother. But, one thing that drives me absolutely INSANE (I mean losing my marbles kind of insane) is when people steal my food!! Picture it this way, you're coming back from a long and tiring school day. You've had 4 exams and can't wait to get home and eat the beautiful chocolate cake you got from the gourmet bakery all the way across town. Once that school bell rings you bolt out of the doors so fast you probably forget all of your homework. The excitement has been building up inside you all day to the point where your salivating. Here it is. The time has come. You open the fridge to see that your heavenly, scrumptious, marvelous triple chocolate cake has been EATEN!!!! How aggravating is that! It's not like you can pick another one up around the corner. All your hopes have been crushed. All the anxiousness has become full on rage. You are waiting until the person who ate your cake walks through the door to bombard them and unleash all of your anger. Just to clarify leaving a post it on the empty plate with sorry written on it is not acceptable either. So just a quick public service announcement: DON'T STEAL PEOPLE'S FOOD!!!

  18. Europe's soft underbelly

In 1942 newly elected Prime Minster Winston Churchill gave the famous line to Stalin "Europe's soft underbelly" when describing Italy, but why did he say that and what lead this once great empire to it's current state? To understand War Time Italy you must understand the roman empire. The Roman Empire (even though it was technically a republic) rose to power for two reasons: 1. They had structure and origination unlike any other fighting force of it's time and even to this day, patriotism and strict punishments made sure that the army was perfectly coordinated. 2. Rome had a surplus of a metal which had proprieties and durability like no other, iron, believe it or not during this time the same metal that is found in every second rock you pick up was the most powerful thing the world had ever seen. During this time it was mostly bronze that was used by most forces because of how common it was and its accessibility. However it suffered from a few drawbacks most notably how soft it was. Rome however sat on huge iron deposits which were used to mass produce much more durable and powerful arms. Fast follower a few thousand years the empire is shattered, the strongest part of it is in modern day Germany, Italy's once rich iron deposits now depleted, however many people are still proud of the Romans empire's past achievements, overly so. In comes an opportunistic fascist, Mussolini he was an idol for someone that you might of heard of... Hitler. He was the first major dictator of this time. He founded the Italian Fascist party in 1919, they were made into armed thugs and roamed the streets in gangs terrorizing his political opponents. By Autumn 1922 black-shirts were everywhere and the Fascist party where invited to join the Coalition government this was a time when there were fire fights in the streets between the Fascists and Communists they government hopped to maintain some power by working together with the Fascist party. This was not the case, Mussolini marched to Parliament and declared himself the sovereign leader of Italy and promised to restore the roman empire to it's former glory. He said that the world take more territory and all Italians would be treated like kings. However it was no longer iron that powered war machines ( never mind the fact that it was almost all gone anyways). It was food and oil which Italy had very little of either. In the war Italy had inexperienced and untrained soldiers as well as tankettes which if you don't know are kinda like the environment friendly tanks, you know the ones about the size of a smart car. Eventually this whole train wreck of a government came to an end when Mussolini was executed and hung by his feet courtesy of the communists in 1945. It was for this reason that Churchill called Itlay Europe's soft underbelly and why operation Torch was so effective.

Pictures on my website of the Italian military, it is quite pitiful.

  19. Something that my friends can definitely agree with is that I am not the most talkative person. One might say that this goes hand in hand with me having a very short attention span. So why is it that people always seem to think the perfect time to have a conversation, of any kind, is when I have headphones in? I think we can all agree that wearing headphones is the universal signal for not being in a talking mood. It’s an inconvenience for both parties because, A, I can’t hear a word you’re saying and you’ll just have to repeat it all again and B, having to take my headphones in and out for the sake of being a decent human person. Granted, it might not necessarily be that I don’t feel like talking, but that I’m trying to drown out all outside noise possible. So a quick sorry to all those who make attempts at communication with little ol’ me.

  20. I wasn't really sure what to talk about so I just searched up random things to talk about and one of the questions I saw was "what was the worst thing that happened to you this week?". On Tuesday when I got back to my locker I put all my stuff in my bag and got my stuff for the next class and I didn't bring my agenda because I didn't need it since I had a test. Then at lunch, I realized I didn't have my agenda, so I searched through my whole locker and couldn't find it. I started freaking out since my agenda has all my test dates, homework and EVERYTHING written in it that I need for school. Now, let me tell you this isn't the first time this has happened this year, this happened just before going to Stratford and I had to buy a new agenda and ask my friend all the stuff I was missing but the thing is the person who I have all classes with also went to Stratford which stressed me out 1000 times more. I have no idea how I managed to lose my second agenda in a week. Also, I tried looking everywhere for my first agenda (lost and found and the last class I had it in) and couldn't find it anywhere. So, if you find my agenda please tell me because I'm very stressed at the moment.

  21. Water is clearly not wet. It doesn't matter how you put it, there is no reasonable argument saying water is wet.#1 "water makes things wet so it's wet" No, how could you have thought of such a stupid explanation. #2 "wet things have water in it, and water has water in it", this is the 2nd worst argument since the people aren't even trying to understand what they're saying. Water is a single particle and cannot have another water molecule inside of it. these people are just saying this because they can't understand what water is. #2 "water is covered by water which makes it wet". If you isolate one molecule of water from the rest, then that make it not wet in this argument's circumstance. So then how can the same water be wet when with more non-wet water. So in conclusion, water is not wet, goodbye.

  25. I choose to blog about fall. Fall is probably my favourite season. Its sweater weather which is always fun and it's always so pretty outside with the leaves changing colors. Its also Halloween which is always fun. Also this is the best time of the school year for me because its the beginning of the year and the work is more chill. Right now it's already really cold which i do not appreciate but it's okay because the fall air makes up for it.

  26. I'm going to blog this time about police brutality, mostly in america. It's going to be more of a rant though.
So america actually has a huge problem with police brutality. And the media always says it's only white cops beating up or killing african americans but it's not just that. Police in america are just brutal in general. It's sickening some of the stories. In Mesa, Arizona there was an exterminator with a pellet gun tha he uses on rats, and people in the hotel called the police because they thought it was a real gun. The police came and gave ordered him to get out of the room, which he did, then gave him a bunch of confusing orders. They told him to cross his legs, put his hands above his head and crawl over to them, and not put his hands down. He tried and the police officer was screaming at him that if he put his hands down to catch himself, he would shoot him. The guy ended up falling and the officer shot him. There are so many things wrong with this, the first being the officer doing this.
The officer was charged and went to trial, but he was found not guilty. He just said that he THOUGHT that the man was reaching out for a gun, and because he said that he THOUGHT he had a gun he got away with it. It's such a stupid law thta shouldn't be there. There was even body camera footage but the court would not let the jury see it, even though it was hard evedince. It's just completely unjust that the officer got away with it.
Another problem is that even good police are still getting harassed. Even when they shoot someone that was attacking them with a knife the media goes crazy about it and says he shouldn't have shot them. But what was he supposed to do? Just let them stab him? Because of this harassment there are a lot of officers in Chicago that aren't even responding to calls anymore. They just can't deal with it and know that no matter what they will be persecuted my the media. Things like this make me glad that the police here are sp much better than in America.

  27. After a while of deep though I decided to write about the life of the standard beef cow. Our friendly cows life begins on a nice open field just eating grass drinking milk his life is pretty good unless he is male in that case he will be castrated usually without anesthetic. After 7-9 months he is sold to a feeding lot where he will live for the rest of his life. The journey there is long and painful being crammed into small cages with many other cows with food or water. once he arrives he is put in a small pen with many other cows where they have little space to move, eat fatty foods and usually get stress, depression, anxiety and other not very present things which can take a toll on the animals health but this is solved using antibiotics. Once fully grow he is brought to the packing plant. I order to keep things somewhat humane a worker will use a "stunner" which is device that smashes the brain of the cow rendering him unconscious or worse but at this point it doesn't really matter. His ankle is the attached to a conveyor belt which will guide the cow on the rest of its journey. He is then stabbed in the trout to let out all of his blood. After this he is stimulated to high voltage stimulation this is make sure the meat won't toughen up when it reaches the freezer. The cow is then power washed to clean the beast. Next the cow is disemboweled to prevent contamination. Then all the other bits that we don't eat like the feet, the spine etc. are removed. Then it's power washed again. On average the entire process at the packaging plant takes only 15 minutes. After a while in the freezer the beef is cut up into all the different cuts then shipped of the stores everywhere.

  28. Dear god I hope Trump inst elected again (that's saying a lot because I don't even believe in god). I don't feel proud of my country anymore, I feel like the UNITED states of America is an ignorant name for a country that is so devised. I actually don't sleep well because of this, and other reasons, but I truly feel that my own country is not one I wish to represent, I remember the days were I was proud of my country and I was proud to say that I was American, but its different now. I can't trust my own people to choose the person who leads them, someone so disgusting, so ignorant, so self absorbed, so misogynistic. With all do respect Mr. Trump (which is none by the way), the fact that you could have been elected is proof that your educational system has failed too many people, corruption is alive and well in our government and last but not least, my country thinks selfishly, america first, try earth first.

  29. "Mister Ed"... Mister Ed is a teacher at "a high school". He is old and in that very old school. Whenever you do something that doesn't go by the old book he punishes you, and his punishments are really not fair. Once I was walking in the hallway I was drinking water, he came up to me and told me that I wasn't allowed to drink water in the hallway. Last time I checked, that statement was inaccurate.

This will be my 4th year snowboarding. It is a little tricky to go snowboarding in the summer which is why I go skateboarding. I can't wait for winter.

  31. The free blog theme I am choosing is an NFL player who was recently drafted. You're probably saying "OK, there are tons of NFL players", well not as special as Shaquem Griffin, a linebacker on the Seattle seahawks. Other than being a really good football player, he also only has one hand. Shaquem is a twin(Shaquil Griffin, who also plays for the Seattle seahawks) born with amniotic band syndrome on July 20 1995 in Florida. In high school, Shaquem was a three sport star, playing baseball, football and basketball. And remember, he did those with one hand. While being a multi-sport star, he a exceptionally good at football, this earned him a scholarship to attend the University of Central Florida(same with his brother), where he did well academically, but he didn't see any playing time. At this time, his brother Shaquil was playing his mind out, earning NFL team's recognition. After the success by Shaquil, he was later drafted into the NFL by the Seattle seahawks. After Shaquil was drafted into the NFL, it was Shawuem's turn to show everyone how good he really was. That season, he quickly became the teams best player earning ACC's defensive player of the year honors. But he thoght he still had more to prove, that next season, he had one of the best seasons by any linebacker of all time, securing ACC's best defensive player and a top draft pick. The next year, he was picked in the 3rd round by the same team his brother is on.

    He is my inspiration
