Midterms, the Christmas Holidays and Christmas Break are right around the corner. I am sure you have A LOT on your mind!
For this blog, you could discuss something you feel passionate about!
Be creative and write about something you feel important or something you would like to tell your audience.
You must remember your audience. It is not simply Mr. Katz reading this blog! If you will be ranting, you need to leave their name out of this. You could give them a pseudonym (example: Mr. Ed) or simply leave their name as anonymous. Make sure your language is appropriate. Do not go on swearing tangents.

DeleteSomething that I am very passionate about is video games I probably spend more time playing video games over studying and doing homework combined. I know that is unhealthy but I still enjoy playing anyway. Video games unlike some sports do not require brute force which is one of the reason why I enjoy them. The types of video games I play are generally first person shooters which require precision and control. The main reason why I enjoy video games the most is when eliminate players in a cool way it feels very rewarding.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it may be rewarding to eliminate other players. Great blog!
DeleteI find when I play video games and I eliminate someone, I get a big rush, but then I get eliminated, and the rush is gone.
DeleteYes I an also expirienced in interactive videos and share a similar opinion about the elimination of players to my fellow commenters. This blog was vey good to read great blog Griffin!
DeleteWow great blog so interesting :))

ReplyDeleteI'd say I like lots of things, but it's hard to pinpoint something I am truly passionate about. For this blog I'm going to write about something that I think is really important, and that is education and it's importance. If you look into the future, think about all the opportunities that might come up. Now think of how education could make them even more special and impactful. This can be anything from a job to a trip. Education is a right and a necessity in this world. People without it will be finding themselves in more and more trouble and so it really is vital. Whether it be community college, cegep, university or specialized training, education is insanely beneficial. I think that as soon you are past high school, you should choose what path of education to study in order to make it more enjoyable. For example, I want to be a palaeontologist because I would love to study natural history for a living. I would go into university and study this because I chose it and I want to enjoy education and the work it gets me. This should be everyone's own individual choice. If you want to be a mechanic, go to community college and be a mechanic . If you want to be an RCMP officer, apply to go to Regina and become an RCMP officer. Whatever you want to do, choose education you think will be useful and enjoyable for that topic. Education is vital to everyone and is a basic human right.
ReplyDeleteI understand but you gotta let loose and relax sometimes and of all jobs why the hell did you choose a RCMP office. But great blog

DeleteGreat blog Emily! Nice points:)
DeleteNice blog Emily! Nicely formulated points!
DeleteSomething I am very passionate about is ringette. I have been playing this sport for seven years and I love it. Especially since I’m in a high level, it’s gets competitive and challenging which I like. Every single practice or game there is I will be there. Any chance I have to get on the ice I will. I love it!!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about sleep. Every chance I have I try and get in a few Z's. Great Blog.
DeleteThe thing that I am most passionate about is music. If I had the option, I would just stay home all day and listen to some. I don't know why, but i'm always put in a good mood when I listen to music. I love playing it, which is the reason I play three instruments. Every night, I turn on my radio and listen to see if any good songs are playing. Eventually, I just put on a CD. I have been to one concert and I am attending two others this year. I love performing, which is the reason I joined Jazz-Band.
ReplyDeleteI love music great blog!
DeleteIt's the same thing with me, minus using a CD.
DeleteSleep. I love to sleep. I cannot describe the joy it brings me to sleep in on the weekends. With mid terms around the corner I have come to the conclusion that I am sleep deprived. For example today at school I fell asleep in history class, I also came home after school and unintentionally took a 2 hour nap. I will admit it felt really good to catch up a bit on my sleep but when I woke up I was discouraged by all the work that I now had to complete which includes this blog. Now that I have napped I feel quite the opposite of refreshed. I feel even more exhausted. Every night I tell myself I I am going to get to bed earlier but I always end up hitting the sac at 12-1 am due to the overload of homework I receive on a daily. Just a quick Public Service Announcement before I conclude this blog: Do not be alarmed if you witness zombie Elisa roam the halls at school, she is simply exhausted and is in desperate need of coffee. In most cases she can become very cranky so don't take anything she says personally. Anyways hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the day as I will be completing the rest of my homework over the course of the next few hours. Peace out. Drops mic**
ReplyDeleteSleep is a necessity! Great blog Elisa
DeleteGreat blog! I also adore sleep.
DeleteI am passionate about, just overall anything that has to do with the weekends; shopping, going out to eat, relaxing at home, etc. It puts me into such a good mood because I have time off from school (the stress) and I can use that time for my mental health. I get really happy when the weekends come around because that also means I get to spend time with my family, but I DO sleep in, which is also a good feeling because us teens don't usually get the full hours of sleep we need.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog I love the weekend
DeleteWe love to go sister shopping!! Great blog
DeleteSomething I am passionate about is ballet. I friggin love telling people that I can stand on my toes. Their reaction is always so funny to me. But I fell like ballet is seen as something that is made fun of a lot like with the pink fluffy tutus. But it's not really like that at all. I mean it is a really pretty art form but I would love if more people actually knew what it was like. Don't get me wrong though the tutus are really fun to get to wear.
ReplyDeletegreat blog ange.

ReplyDeleteSomething that I am very passionate about are my friends. The reason why I am so passionate about them is because I feel like there are somethings that I could only tell them like for example if I got a bad grade on a quiz or a test I would only be able to tell my friends because if I told my parents I would have my phone taken away from me. Another thing is that when people call me weird, I ignore it because I know that I have friends that are just and crazy, silly, and weird as me so that I why I am thankful and passionate for my friends because they are basically my family at school.
ReplyDeleteSomething that I am very passionate about is art. Art has always been a part of my life because of my mom. She used to be an artist and has always been into design especially interior design. She's the person that helped me make my first painting and it's something that we bond over. Many people don't know that I like to do art but I always felt that it was something that represents me well. It's like a way to express your emotion and creativity without talking and I think that's what I like the most about it. All in all art is something that is not only important to me but it also keeps my family connected and it's something that we can all bond over.
ReplyDeleteWith exams being right around the corner, they are pretty much the only thing on my mind, but I still don't think I am ready for them. Th reason I don't feel ready for them is because I have to admit, some my teachers are not the best at teaching, for example: there is this one teacher whom you can say it not the best at teaching(it takes her a long time to explain and sometimes I even correct this teacher) and she is teaching us something completely new and it's going to be on the exam. Another things that pisses me off about this is that she is a replacement for this teacher I actually like. Another thing that pisses me off about this whole year is my math class(this time there is nothing wrong with my teacher). The reason my math class pisses me off is because("how do I put this in a nice way") is rally, dumb. And when I say really, I mean REALLY. One example of my math class being dumb is that my term 1 average for math mark was a 91(it was relatively easy) but my class average was a 71!
ReplyDeleteI am very passionate about video games. Video games for me is a place away from real life, and place where everything around you isn't trees and buildings but small pixels spread across the screen your are playing it on. Video games releave all of the stress during a day. I have played so many video games on so many different platforsm it's crazy. I have played many games on my computer, my xbox and sometimes my portable device. Every game I play there needs to be a cometitive motive implanted into the game. I try to be the best at everything I do and being good at a video game all your friends play feels good. A few years ago I used to go to school play hockey get home, maybe do a bit of homework and then play video games until I need to sleep. I would wake up 1 hour before anybody in the house would and get everything ready for that day then hop on the video game. I have a lot less time to play video games these days as school hockey and family are the most imortant things but I always try to get video games into my day atleast for 30 minutes. Sometimes I could play video games for 5 hours straight without water or food and I won't care. Eventhough I know video games are a waste of time and basically useless, I still love them 'till this day.
ReplyDeleteI disagree. this blog is terrible. it is a disgrace to mr. Katz.
DeleteDon't listen to Ryan, this blog was insane Justin. I agree that video games are completely useless but a lot of fun.
DeleteI am very passionate about many things, some of these including hunting, nature, video games, marksmanship and much more. However the most appropriate of these would have to be working around teachers constraints to find the minimum amount of work possible or warping the original idea into something else. I could go on but I have already written sixty words.
ReplyDeleteVery insightful, as always.
DeleteWhen this blog was assigned I was unsure of what I was going to wright but after a while of thought I think I know what I will do. Video Games are something I feel very passionately about. They can tell amazing stories, he enjoyable game mechanics or just be a great time with your friends. Overall video games are a big part of my own as well as many other peoples lives and that is why they are cool.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy video games too, nice blog.
DeleteI am very passionate about the ocean. I'm not sure if that makes sense but what i mean is that i love the ocean. I love swimming in the ocean and i love watching people surf mainly because i can't surf. I just find the ocean so interesting. It's so cool and so discovered like for all we know they're is another world underneath our ocean. I could watch the ocean all day
ReplyDeleteI love the ocean too yet it is my greatest fear. Awesome blog
DeleteI feel very passionate about video games. The reason I say so is because I am willing to spend money on them. I have purchased an xbox, a new monitor, a pc and a new mouse and keyboard set. Video games are uselful because they are a good social network where you can talk to your friends.
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of people are talking about videogames being their passion but mine is mroe about an understanding. A lot of people think that videogames are making kids stupid and taking away our youth but what they don't know is that this has been the case for every new thing. Even, believe it or not, writing was shamed upon. Back in the day when Aristotle was around he was compeltely against writing because he said it would hurt society and all things should be left oral. Then years later we have TV, which people hated saying stories should be left in books and now we have videogames. Parents are saying why don't you just have them over but they don't realize that videogames give you a way to have 2, 4, 5 or however many players a game allows to be playing the same game at the same time. And you are being social because you are talking with your friends and playing. And it also gives you an oppurtunity to play with people whoa re far away. For example if you live in Montreal and your friend lives in New Brunswick or New York you can still play together.
ReplyDeleteSomething that I am very passionate about is drawing. I’m not really great at it or anything like that, but it’s something that I look forward to doing at the end of the day. If I’m stressed I’ll do it and it will calm me down like crazy. It’s just something soothing for me, and know for others it can be something very stressful. I always have a million different drawings I want to create, but I feel too busy with school to do them without feeling guilty about not studying or something. I put my feelings, things I like and appreciate into my drawings. Sometimes it’s just a way of expressing myself if that makes any sense.
ReplyDeleteI know this may come off as very odd, but I thoroughly enjoy staying up at night. During the day, on the other hand, is another story. Sure, when I eventually go to sleep, I always fall into the sweet bliss of nothingness that inevitably gets stripped away by having to wake up again. The strangest thing is that I usually feel the most awake at the early, early hours of 11:00 pm to 5:00 am. Granted, this does not mean that I could easily wake up and start my day off at the bright hour of five. This just means that I have a tendency to not fall asleep (at night, might I stress) until I most certainly have to. For example, this past summer vacation I had absolutely no things to do, so I took advantage of that by completely ruining my sleep schedule. I’m talking, staying up until seven in the morning, and then proceeding to go to sleep for four hours. I know, very healthy. Those hours are never spent doing anything considered “productive”, either. I’d probably just be doing one of the four: binge reading, binge watching, working on some art piece I’d never finish, or just doing nothing and contemplating existence. You know, normal things. This isn’t necessarily a passion of mine, but more of a habit of mine that for some unknown reason, I have decided to write about today.
ReplyDeleteSomething that I'm passionate about is art, I really enjoy doing it and it calms me down... most of the time, but if I mess up something it stresses me out so much. Another thing that is kind of weird that isn't really a passion but I do enjoy doing is staying up late. As a lot of my friends know, which they discourage me for is that I stay up very late every night. I really like staying up late because everything is so quiet and calm, especially when it's raining. Usually, at night, I watch Netflix and occasionally I will do a face mask, especially on Friday nights because that's when all the stress, pressure and anxiety from the whole week piles on me so I try to relax. During the summer, I would go to bed very late, like around 4-5 am, but let me tell you it's so nice at that time! The sun is rising and the birds start chirping, the air is fresh and the vegans start their daily jog to do photosynthesis, UGH! what a beautiful hour!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree, great job
DeleteOne thing that I am very passionate about is making poached eggs. I know that this is an odd passion but for the past 2 weeks after school, I have made myself a poached egg with toast. I really enjoy making poached eggs and their taste is spectacular. The main reason I make these eggs so often is because I have a lot of extra time on my hands and they are the best tasting eggs in the world. If you have never made or eaten a poached egg, I would seriously recommend that you try one because they are amazing. (p.s. subscribe to pewdiepie).
ReplyDeleteSomething I’m very passionate about would have to be my future , any of my close friends know when I’m older i know exactly what I want to be and I know exactly what I need to get there , I’ve always been very interested in fighting my points and proving people wrong so naturally a career based on proving someone or something wrong or right interested me ,Law and to be specific criminal law is something I would really love to be a future career option for me
ReplyDeleteso basically you're passionate about yourself
Deletei'm not really passionate about a lot im definitely passionate about music, everything i do is accompanied by music, if im doing homework(bad example) making food, going to sleep, literally anything and everything i do i do with music. I find everything so much more pleasant with music.
ReplyDeleteI feel that friendship is very important... Mostly because you need friends by your side or you'll be a very lonely person. But what I mean by this is how you should treat your friends. I think that it is important to treat your friends with respect and that this should be shown in a mutual way. I like to keep my friends close to me because to me they are of great value.
ReplyDeleteI am passionate about a lot of things such as skiing, science, video games, and etc. But I think the most important is science I love science science is one of my personally favorite classes except I don't have that good of a teacher. Science you get to learn how your life works and how everything around you works like illnesses how do you get them or the atmosphere.
