I do not think dreams are really meaningful since sometimes it is your imagination, sure maybe your dreams might be tied to an idea you have subconsciously but it does not really affect your life, unless you have a nightmare and it scares you so you end up paranoid at everything that is around you. Also most of the time I do not remember my dreams so I am almost not at all affected by my dreams.
I do not believe that dreams are really meaningful. They are simply the result of our brain thinking. I think dreams are mostly based on hopes and fears instead of predictions or seeing what will happen to you. However, I do believe that dreams may influence the outcome of your day. For example, you are supposed to go to a store to purchase something. The night before, you have a bad dream of something terrible happening while at the store. When you wake up, you will most likely feel uncomfortable about going to the store. That, however, does not mean something bad will happen, but because of your bad dream, you are all of a sudden scared of going. This may result in you possibly not going top the store.
I agree that dreams may make you feel uncomfortable about something throughout the day. This actually sort of reminds me of "Beware the Ides of March" from "Julius Caesar". Great blog.
I do not believe that dreams have any meaning in our life because they are just thoughts put in your brain while you were sleeping. If we believe anything our brain makes up anythought we would have would be something that would happen in the future. Dreams are just thoughts that seem to be more real then they actually are. They may have believed dreams meant something because of the very religious or superstitious culture back in Shakespeare's day.
I believe certain dreams are meaningful, but not all dreams. They can also have an affect on our perspective for a day or so, setting the tone for the day. I do believe our dreams have things to do with our subconscious thought though. Sometimes even the last thing you actively thought about before drifting off into sleep. Although those are two different thoughts, from the subconscious mind and the conscious mind, I believe they can both influence dreams. I often don't take my dreams seriously. Most of them are nightmares, about very different things. They don't bother me anymore but I have wondered if they're the reason I love horror movies and books so much. When I do pay a little more attention to them, is when they are normal. Not scary or crazy. The other day I had a dream, that I was eating oatmeal and that it just vanished. When I woke up, I found this dream strangely normal and decided to get some oatmeal but it turns out we had one left. I've never thought about oatmeal so much in my life, all because my dream was so astonishingly normal. Although nightmares can be scary, they are never repeated and they don't bother me anymore. Most of them would make for some amazing horror novels and films, but right now I don't have time to put my mind to that. I have other priorities. One day though, it would be cool to experiment with writing horror about a nightmare. There is no way on earth these dreams would predict anything because what happens is simply impossible, but they may be showing subtle signs to something. I guess I'll never know.
I do believe dreams are meaningful. Recently, I have had dreams that have actually happened the next day. People say that this is a glitch in the matrix. I personally do find that all dreams are important, especially towards the future. I take my dreams very seriously, and they are important. Who knows, I might have a dream tonight, and I might happen tomorrow.
I do not believe that dreams have much meaning. Our dreams are simply our brains trying to make something out of our memories, both recent and old. You don’t even rember most dreams they are just a product of your sleeping brain and should not under any circumstances be taken seriously. In conclusion dreams mean nothing.
I kind of do believe that my dreams mean something. Also your dreams are basically images of your conscious. They are your own thoughts so I don't understand why you wouldn't take them even a little seriously. I remember having a dream and my friend who I missed a lot came in it. I didn't think too much of it and then the next day I was running errands with my mom and we ran into my friend from that dream from the night before. So that was a crazy coincidence but I really do think that all your dreams mean something.
I think that dreams are affected by what is happening in our life but in really weird ways, i see it as if the subconscious is making everything seem like random thoughts but sometimes they actually mean something. I really like dreams, sometimes their so weird and funny to wake up remembering them. here's a tip to remember dreams: right when you wake up write down your dream with a lot of detail then you'll remember it for a while.
Most of the time I believe that my dreams don't mean anything but there are some times where I could see how my dream related to my personal or future life. I think dreams are made of our imagination but sometimes that imagination can have an effect on us personally. Normally i don't remember my dreams but I remember the ones that could help me in the future, that seem realistic or relate to things that have happened in the past. I think dreams can have a meaningful impact on our lives but not every single one of them.
I don't normally pay attention to what I dreamed mostly because I can't remember them most of the time. But when I do, I reflect on them for a moment and afterwards I forget about them... But in the faint circumstance when the dream actually resonates in my head, I do find it important know what it means. So to answer your question I find dreams important sometimes.
For most of my dreams, I seriously can't remember them unless they're the ones who've woken me up from my sleep (as it was that terrible) or if they involved people who I care about a lot and it broke me when the situation occurred. Sometimes I see déjà vu in my dreams or I would have the dream and it would somehow happen later on, but I also believe everything happens for a reason so that could be another reason. Dreams COULD try and tell us something about our near or far future but our brain functions to not remember more than 90% of our dreams, that's also probably why we forget so easily.
Dreams are important for survival because they create hypothetical situations, for example, Craig the caveman went to sleep thinking about fighting a mountain lion. When he fell asleep he dreamt that he got eaten by said mountain lion. Craig is much less likely to go fighting any more mountain lions making his chances of survival increase. However, if you consider fighting mountain lions I doubt that dreams are enough to save you. Believing that dreams are something more is even more foolish than believing in fate. It is wishful thinking nothing more, nothing less.
I think that if something important happens in our lives not to long before we sleep, it is very possible that we will relive this moment in our heads to think about all the different things that we could have done in the moment to make the outcome more convenient for us. I think that when we sleep, we reflect on our day which is why I find doing reflections are pointless since we already reflect when we sleep.
I feel like in some ways dreams mean something, not all dreams but some. I think that dreams, where there's someone who is not living anymore maybe means that they are coming to visit you. I once had a dream with my grandmother in it. Just before I was going to go on vacation to Italy, she came in my dreams and gave me euros. My grandmother was born in Italy and only came to Canada when she was in her 20's. I was going to visit her hometown and it was my first time going to Italy, so I think that's why I had a dream about her.
I rarely take my dreams seriously, mostly due to the fact that I can hardly ever remember them. The dreams that I can recall, however, usually have an effect on my day. I think the reason dreams can sometimes be of significance to people is because the tend to contain aspects of our real lives. In the end, dreams are all just a part of the mind’s imagination. They tend to reflect past memories or feelings, but most of the time the are usually just a bunch of random nonsensical images.
I personally take some of my dreams seriously, but not, much. Some super-obviously unreal dreams, for example: making the NFL, I don't really think about, but if there is a dream about working hard, I could think of that and maybe it could work. But in the end, I don't think about my dreams much.
I feel like i don't really remember my dreams much when i wake up and like the times i do i feel like they're so weird that there really is no meaning. When other people tell me about thee dreams and think i have a meaning i believe them and i believe they do. I feel like mine don't but my friend is always telling me about these dreams she has and like later on some actually come true.
I don’t usually take dreams very seriously, but sometimes they have meaning in my opinion. Sometimes I’ll have a dream and depending on my actions or thoughts in the dream, my body can be telling me Something. For example in my dream if I’m trying to run but I can’t its like somethings holding me back, studies show that that means you’re tired. Sometimes I’ll have dreams that reall have meaning, and I believe that dreams are some of the thoughts that mean a lot to you without you knowing it. The important and meaningful things in your life can come up in your dream and remind you of them. That’s just all what I think they’re about.
I think dreams are our mind manifestations of possible situations and scenarios . This why dreams can be helpful in knowing yourself and your mind but they should never taken extremely seriously, in my opinion, your dreams are created by your own mind meaning the outside world doesn’t really have anything to do with them. However your dreams can really teach you about your deeper inner thoughts.
I think that dreams have meaning. Some of my dreams come true. I have a lot of Deja Vu. I dont take dreams that seriously but sometimes my dreams actually happen in real life. I do feel that dreams are meaningful but to a certain point. Dreams to me can show us the light and what we wanna see but, sometimes it shows really dark side of us.
Personally I don’t take my dreams too seriously. I rarely remember my dreams. Those that I do remember are usually related to old memories and include family members or friends that I’ve recently seen. None of my dreams in the past have had any type of significance in my life. I’ve heard rumours about how certain dreams have certain meanings. For example the thought of losing teeth while dreaming supposedly signals an upcoming death. I’m not very superstitious so I’m not completely convinced by this theory. Although personally I find the concept behind dreams very interesting. I have noticed that recently I have been falling in my dreams from large heights like cliffs which has woken me up a few times but besides that I rarely have nightmares.
I do not believe at all that dreams have any relevance to someone's actual life. For example as a kid I loved watching The Walking Dead with my father everynight at around 9, which was right beforer bed back then. So I actually remeber the dreams I had with the same environment The Walking Dead was in. I remember fighting off zombies and saving my family members. Does this mean that a huge plague willl go around to the four oints of the globe and turn 97% of human life into zombies that want 'brains'? That's an easy question so nope. I do not believe that dreams tell us much meaningful things about our future life.
I really don think dreams are meaingful. They don do anything except give you a good or bad feeling, then half the time 10 minutes after you wake up you have no idea what you were dreaming about. I think that I've only had one or two dreams that I remembered. One cool thing about dreams though are lucid dreams. They are basically dreams where you know you are dreaming. You become away within your dream and you can do anything you can dream of (no pun intended). I think it does offer a lot of interesting things to research for science but it shouldn't affect your life with superstition.
The worst dreams are the lucid nightmares. Its as if you have a vr headset super glued to your head while you are playing the scariest game imaginable.Everything you think bad that could happen happens. If around that corner could be what you think it is, it will be what you think it is. Trying everything to wake back up again. Once I was in one, and it was pretty disturbing but since I knew it was fake but it was really scary I tried to kill my dream self, but I just kept re-waking up in the dream.
My Dreams ave been pretty wacky. But most of them are pretty creepy. I don't take my dreams in a literal sense. It's more like I can more easily identify my emotions with my dreams. I can tell when I am worrying about something. Also some of my dreams have fun writing ideas and I should probably write a dream journal down. The only reason I wouldn't do that is because there is a higher chance of sleep paralysis and that freaks me out. No, I don't think anything superstitious of them though.
I don't think dreams necessarily tell you who you are but it does show you haw creative and what your mind thinks of during it's spare time I mean you are basically always dreaming from doing math in your head to sleeping. You picture you doing math in your head that counts as day dreaming because you have your eyes open but you are picturing a picture in your head.
