Ms. Carbray is sadly finishing her third internship here at St. Thomas.

What lesson(s) did you really enjoy?
What has been Ms. Carbray's strengths?
What feedback can you provide her with for her fourth and final stage; before she becomes a teacher?

  1. I love ms Carbray and I am really sad that she has to go. She did a great job with all our assignments. She always put in a lot of effort with our activities and the slides for farenheit 451 were much appreciated. Also can we just talk about how Ms Carbray looks good everyday. Like she is killing it everyday.

  2. Ms. Carbray is probably one of my favorite teachers I have ever had. Her classes are unique and never lack for excitement. Her assignments are always fun and enjoyable to complete. She would give everyone a chance to say their opinion and expose us to interesting topics that we would not have discussed with any other teacher. My personal favorite lessons were the ones where we performed Romeo and Juliet. I really enjoyed it. In conclusion Ms. Carbray was a interesting, unique and overall fun teacher and I wish her the best in the future.

    1. The fact that we would discuss international topics in our class was one of the things that I liked the most about her. Great blog.

  3. Miss Carbray was a great teacher! She was prepared everyday and was somehow able to tame the class when were too loud. She knew what she was talking about and was always there to help us. She always did extra things to help the class like when she made a bunch of notes for Fahrenheit 451 and put a gif of fire. Also, she has AMAZING style and always looks great.

  5. I have enjoyed my English classes that have been taught by Ms. Carbray very much. They have always been interesting and I think she is a going to be a wonderful teacher. I think one of her strengths is the fact that she can keep our class relatively calm seeing as how we have some pretty rowdy people also she is able to get a lot of things accomplished in the class time that we have.

  6. Ms. Carbray was great teacher. She always knew hot to make a class fun and exciting, always giving us challenging and fun assignments. She was also someone who tried to encourage us to develop our own opinions and beliefs by always bringing up important topics and having us discuss them between ourselves. I have nothing bad to say about her.

  7. honestly ms. carbray was one of the best teachers I've had, she was super helpful whenever anyone needed help with anything and has a great style of teaching, she keeps everyone's attention while teaching them and that's a hard thing to do, most of my teachers just bore us with what seems to be useless information, but she taught us in a way that made us want to keep learning, she has a perfect balance between having fun in class and doing work. She controls the class better than a LOT of my teachers. I think shes going to make a great teacher. best of luck!

  8. Ms. Carbray has been one of the best student teachers I've had and I'm honestly really sad that she's leaving. She made class a lot of fun and really interesting. I could tell that she put a lot of effort into everything that we did and she made sure we all understood what we were doing before moving on to something else. She knew how to keep control of the class when we got too loud and she just made everything more fun. Her power points ,explanations and teaching were on point and i really don't have anything bad to say about her or her way of teaching. I like that she allowed us to give our own opinions on certain topics considering that most of my teachers don't do that. I also liked that we get to read because it makes class more interesting other than just listening to one person read throughout the whole period. I think that she brought up important topics that most teachers wouldn't and all around I think she did a great job teaching us and her other classes. I'll really miss her and I think she's an amazing student teacher and will make an amazing teacher in the future.

  9. I have had many student teachers however out of all of them, in my opinion, Ms. Carbray is the best. She makes all the activities as interesting as possible while making sure we learn the material. Most student teachers either drown us in work or completely fail to remain in control of the class and often both, yet Ms. Carbray has exceeded my expectations in doing well in all areas and I would like to wish her luck in her future endeavors and careers.

  10. Ms. Carbray has honestly been the best student teacher I've had in my 3 years of highschool. She's super chill and knows how to have fun in our class but also knows how to act like a real teacher when the time comes. She's always ready to teach any class she has and I know she'll do great in her further years of teaching. Any student and or teacher would deeply appreciate Ms. Carbray's teaching and her presence. She helped a lot if I didn't understand anything in the novels we read. I could go on and on about how great Ms. Carbray was to us, but I'll stop here because it's getting too long ˡᵒˡ

  12. Mrs. Carbray is by far the best student teacher I have ever had and I don't really have anything to say about her that is bad, but I can definitely say stuff that are good about her, for example: she can make stuff that would be really boring into stuff that are really fun, like Romeo and Juliette. All in all, I really hope that there are more student teachers that are like her.

  13. Ms. Carbray has been by far my favourite student teacher in my schooling life at the various schools I have attended. I love the class where she set up the whole english room as a theater and gave us our assigned seats with funny glasses. She puts so much work into her teaching and you can tell she does her best all the time. I found tons of things that our fabulous student teacher did very well including controlling the class, and putting up with our madness. I don't think I really can give any advice as I am no specialist in this field. I think she does everything a good teacher could possibly do, and she isn't even a teacher yet! Well done and I am 100% sure we will all miss you.

  15. I really liked ms. Carbray a lot and I’m sad she’s leaving, but I’m happy we got to go through this experience with her. I really liked reading Fahrenheit 451 with her because the way she explained everything made me understand what was going on much better. She was always so organized and ready to go, I basically didn’t even understand how she did all this so perfectly. Everything was always organized and done very well. I really don’t have any complaints or anything like that because she did such an amazing job. I really liked her style of teaching and her personality in general. I had a great first three months and I hope she did with us too!

  16. I loved having Ms. Carbray as a student teacher. I think she did really well and had so many strengths. She explained things so that we understood, she made class fun and always helped us when we had trouble. She supported our ideas and tried to make us build off of them. I must say though, one thing she that would make her the best would be a class that isn't so chatty. No offence to any of my classmates or Ms. Carbray, but I feel like she would have a much easier time if we really let her teach and respected her to the best of our abilities. Overall, Ms. Carbray was an amazing student teacher and I would love to have her teach at St-Thomas herself. Good luck on your next stage and great job Ms. Carbray! I am very proud to be able to say I was one of your students and I hope you had fun teaching our class. Thank you so much Ms. Carbray!

  17. It really is a shame that Ms Carbray is leaving us. She was by far the best student teacher I’ve had. Ms Carbray always put a lot of effort into our classes, making each day exciting. She also made sure to explain ideas clearly and even gave us such helpful notes while we were reading Fahrenheit 451. I’m not sure how, but Ms Carbray was even able to manage our rowdy class. She is going to become such an awesome teacher.

  19. Miss carbray was one of my favorite teachers I have ever had. She seemed to enjoy what she was doing so she put alot of effort into her classes. She was very helpful and answered all the questions that we would ask. I think that out of all the student teacherd I have had, she is the best one. She was even able to manage a class as loud as ours. She has great potential as a teacher.

  20. Ms. Carbray goes down as my absolute favourite student teacher. I truly looked forward to English class. Ms. Carbray always came up with creative activities that were not only a lot of fun but also explained the topic in depth giving all students a clear idea of the task or topic we were exploring. Not to mention she’s got such nice style.... damn work it Carbray!! It’s very sad seeing her go. You will be missed. Thank you so much Ms. Carbray for all you’ve done. You’re an amazing teacher and I wish you all the best. Hope to see you soon!

  21. Ms. Carbray is an amazing teacher. I loved almost all the projects that we did, she made them so fun for us and I couldn't have asked for a better term 1. Her strength is ow she is great at being apart f the classroom. There are a lot of teachers that aren't welcoming and sit behind a desk for eternity. But Ms. carbray is so good at being apart of the class. Weakness=none.

  22. Ms. Carbray, she was such an inspiring person teaching wise and style-wise. Everything she wore was so nice and not only her notes actually make sense. I will remember the Carbray forever, she's one of my favorite student teachers. Miss Carbray if you're reading this thank you so much for all that you have taught me. You come back to st t!

  23. Their was a number of lessons that miss Carbray had thought us, but I think the most interesting ones were all those connected to Fahrenheit 451. The way that she explained things were very clear, very detailed and all in all very professional... I'd say that her strong points are the facts that she can make the class alive and make the students actually want to come to class. She can relate to the students in ways that a lot of teachers can't. She can really make a class fun with her shadism and activities. Can't wait for her to come back. Thank you miss Carbray.

  24. Ms.Carbray was a pretty good student teacher I feel she will do better as a actual teacher. I think her strength was that she will always allow everyone to understand example if you don't understand she will repeat and she makes sure that she is nice and clear about what she says. I don't know what to say you basically hit all the criteria. There is one actually be kind of like Mr.Katz and not give homework only blogs. The kids that have you as a teacher will be extremely happy to have you as their teacher.
