Do you believe that your life's outcome is governed by fate, or do you believe that it is the result of choice and circumstances?
Do you think it is possible to fall in love at first sight?
Explain.

  1. I do not believe in fate how ever I do believe in luck and chance there are things that you have to work for in life and other things you might just get lucky. For example you have to work hard to get the credentials for a job but you also have get lucky with your acceptance for the job. I do not believe in love at first sight I thinks it is something that people have to grow into. You probably start with liking someone then it develops into love.

  3. I believe that whatever energy you put out there it will hit you back. For example have you ever wanted something realistic and not end up getting it. If you think of it you’ll always end up getting it. Example, if you want a certain phone and you always hope and wish for it you’ll most likely end up getting it at some point. So I think you put out energy and you get it back. Also true love at first sight doesn’t exist. Literally most likely impossible.

  4. I believe that fate and choice coexist together in certain circumstances. I think that fate can happen at the most random times despite you governing and taking charge of your own life for better or for worse. However I do not believe that love at first sight exist. I think that it is something that only happens in fairy tales even if some people will say that it was indeed love at first sight...

  6. I believe we can make our own fate in life. Let's say a young man comes from a less fortunate family from a small town out in the farm lands. His father and grandfather and older ancestors were all farmers. This kid's fate was believed to be that he will also become a farmer, but he turns the table and becomes a star baseball player for the Yankees. I hate(that's harsh but I dislike) people that think that we all have fates right from the moment we are born. Why get up every morning not to make a difference? Why not to try to be the best at whatever you want to be, if you just believe you will be a famer like your father was. You decide with every mistake and step you take what your future will look like. Maybe you could become a famous baseball player?! I do and don't believe in love at first sight. I believe that when we are younger we could possibly say that but at older ages I think it's a lt mre than just looks.

    1. I believe there is some form of fate that is present in our world. I just don't believe it has such a big importance in our world.

  7. A little part of me believes in fate, the other part doesn't because the universe isn't directly responsible for anyone's choices but sometimes you get lucky and things just pick up from there. I believe it doesn't exist, because you don't know anything about this stranger you've just seen/met, they can be a total creep and you might just think they're super attractive and that they're your soulmate, but that isn't love at first sight. Love at first sight was a big thing in poetry a long time ago.

  8. I think there is a balance between both. For example, if you are to go to a store in hopes of purchasing something, if by chance the object that you do want is there, that is fate. However, the only reason you are able to purchase the object is because of a decision you made to go to the store and buy the object, a choice. I think both exist and coincide with one another.
Love at first sight is debatable. It's possible that if you do see a person that interests you, you may want to know this person a little better and possibly begin a relationship them. However, I honestly do not believe that it is possible to see a person and instantly fall in love with them.

  9. I dont beleive in fate, i beleive that everything you do, you are responsible for. I say this because. If you did something wrong its pinned on you. If you did something right, then it was you who made it happen. I do beleive in love at first sight but I find it dosent happen to a lot of people. I also find that it happens more in movies and books.

  10. Something that I stand by is that everything happens for a reason. I do believe in fate to a minimum but I think that the choices you make will give you the results you were asking for. If you do something that you know you're not supposed to do, you might get away with it in the beginning but it'll find a way to get back at you in another form. Same thing goes with when you do something good, it'll find a way to get back at you in the future. I think love at first sight is possible but it's an expectation for many that isn't realistic in life. Sure you can have an interest in someone or you like them for their personality but I feel that love at first sight is something that you normally see in movies and TV shows. I'm not saying that it isn't possible because I have heard numerous stories about people who have met each other once and they're married and have kids today, it's just something that happens to the minority of people.

  11. I do believe in fate and love at first sight. I don’t know why maybe it’s because I watch too many movies. I truly think that somewhere out there, there is someone waiting for us. Someone who is the same as us and who understands us, because really there has to be atleast one other person like us on the planet at least if you think about it. I believe that when you meet that person, you’ll just know. There’ll be that instant connection. But who knows maybe we’ll all die loners (I hope not) but maybe none of this exists and it’s just a matter of if you’re lucky enough to love someone who loves you back.

  12. I personally do not believe in fate and I believe that this opinion is shard by many. If find it much more likely that we govern our own lives and can chose our own path and that our lives are not predetermined.Though I have never experienced and neither has anyone I know experienced it I do believe that it could be true.

  13. I find the expression falling in love at first sight very cheesy and unrealistic. I believe that you can click with someone right away but that is not love. I also think you can grow to love someone the more you get to know them. But looking at someone and finding them attractive is not love. I believe that everything happens for a reason and fate plays a big role but with if you really want something fate will not stop you from getting it.

  14. I don't know if this is considered fate, but I believe everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens for nothing and everything adds up in the end. Every mistake is a learning experience and every loss is a gain in some way, no matter how impactful or important the loss. I don't believe in love at first sight, that's purely impossible from my perspective. Sure, someone might have a beautiful smile that intrigues you, but you're definitely not in love. Personally, most of it depends on personality and that takes quite some time to discover. All this to say, I think it is nearly impossible to find love upon first glance.

  15. I do not believe in love at first sight or that our lives are controlled by fate. But, I do believe that in life, you are given many different opportunities and that you can do whatever you want with the opportunities that life has handed to you. In conclusion, I think that you control your own life even though you will be encounter with many different obstacles and opportunities.

  16. To me I think everything is controlled by your life choices because if your fate is to be a scientist and your fail all your grades and you say fate will carry you than you are just plain a$$ Re*&@ed. That is why I do not believe in fate as of that way. But if you flip it and say you want to be a scientist but you just feel you don't belong they're and you do good in this job than yeah that is fate your fate was to do this. But I think the process of you getting there is all because of your choices from the beginning. Also love at first sight isn't a real thing. Maybe you like her and you want more but that isn't really love that is called a hormone or more known as a sex hormone. So get it right Love at first sight is not real.

  17. I think some things are fate and other things are our due to the choices we've made. When ever you make a choice if you chose the other thing your life could be very different. We always think like i wonder what i could've done different or like if i'd done this it could be so different right now. Now that i'm writing this i feel like not everything happens for a reason. I don't believe in love t first site though. I feel like you have multiple people you can love and not just one, if there was only one soulmate for everyone in the world no one would have found theirs. Also love at first site i don't believe, i feel like you would have to get the know the person to actually love them.

  18. Though the idea of everyone having been assigned their own fates is a sweet and imposing fantasy, I do not believe that our lives are being governed by some predestined outcome. I think that the lives we lead are a result of our circumstances and choices made. Things just happen. However, this is not to put down the notion of luck; that is a completely random thing of its own. As far as love at first sight goes, I would have a hard time believing in anything but attraction at first sight. In stories, love at first sight is shown as something so romantic and “fated” that we could only hope to achieve it. In my opinion, those who claim to have fallen in love at first sight are either deluding themselves or mistaking an instant attraction for something other than what it already is.

  19. I believe that love at first sight doesn't exist, at least I believe that being friends first, and getting to know the person in advance is better, so you know who your falling for. I have very mixed feelings about fate. I do believe that evreyone is destined, but then again it is a fantasy. It can't just be luck for finding someone.

  20. love isnt real, i do not believe in love at first sight or in fate. I think the idea of fate is completely made up and in order to fall in "love" you need to at least know the person. fate sounds like something someone made up in a video game.

  21. I completely agree with your opinion

  22. I do not believe in fate whatsoever. Everything in life is based of decisions. If fate was real you wouldn't have any choices to make and your like would only have one possibility. Because of every decision you make in life changes your future even if it be what type of sandwich you eat be sure that is a decision that has multiple outcomes. I don't believe in love at first sight because then your love would be completely based on looks and not anything else like personality.

  23. Love at first sight is a fantasy. You find situations of people falling in the love by seeing eachother in the corner of their eyes in movies and shows. It is un realistic to possibly be in love with another by just looking at eachother , you are not in love with them but with they’re looks and appearance. Once you start conversation and get to know the person that’s when the love factor can come in.

  24. Since particles down to an atomic level are completely predictable and already have a known path what is going to happen in the future has already been calculated. Which means free will is technically not real and every single thing we do would have never changed if we wanted to. So in truth no matter how we want be when we are older, or who we want to be with, we technically have no free choice.

  25. I'm not sure if I believe in love at first sight but I feel like you can be attracted to someone when you first see them. I think I believe in fate and I feel like everything happens for a reason, like with Romeo when he read the letter for the party, it's like the servant was only illiterate so that Romeo could meet Juliet. It sounds weird but when you think about it, it could be possible.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Although I do think love at first sight is possible, I think that it is very rare. The reason I think it is possible is if both of the people are interested in each other (because of their appearance) ,but when they start talking to each other, they also like their personality.

  27. I do not believe in fate in the slightest. People created the idea of fate to remove all responsibility from themselves, well I failed this math exam must be my destiny, oops I have a horrible life God must have a plan for me in the end. The people who throw away responsibility and say that their choices mean nothing obviously do not have the capacity to be successful enough on their own. I've seen first hand what happens when people believe in this stuff. They stop trying, they trust that everything will be okay and then their life collapses around them. If you are not born into a position of power then you have to work for it since you are not special and everyone around you is striving for the same goal
