  1. Our generation is a lot different then my dad's generation. Most of the people I know are very into rap/hip hop. Where in my dad's generation it was a lot of rock and pop. Boys today are either still stuck in the 80s or 90s, or they like hip hop/ rap. Girls love pop and a lot of them also like hip hop/rap too. My favorite group/band today is the Migos. They are a rap group composed of three members named Offset, Quavo and Takeoff. Do I think that there will be a movie about them in the future? Yes, I do. I think they help a lot of people's lives everyday with their music. One day there will be a movie about them.

    2. I really like classic rock, much more than pop and rap. Not everyone is the same and I don't think gender has anything to do with musical preference.

    3. i completely hate pop but love rap, good blog

    4. There will be a movie about them because they are actually decent. You're right about that

  2. I just saw "Bohemian Rhapsody" and I really liked it. I love Queen and I always have. I can't even count the amount of car rides to hockey games to the middle of nowhere listening to Queen and more classic rock. Queen is one of my favorite rock bands and I listen to them all the time. Other than that, I listen to a lot of classic rock from bands like The Who, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Bruce Springsteen, Nirvana and so much more. I don't think my generation listens to the same music as me, because I always hear people talking about rappers and rap songs and such. I know there are a few people who like classic rock, but most people part of this generation (from what I know), listen to rap or mumble rap. I, personally, don't think it's great. To me it is senseless and has no meaning and I find it very annoying, but that's just my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, this is just mine. A movie about my favorite band was just released, it was "Bohemian Rhapsody". The timeline was a little jumbled, but other than that I really liked it. I think Queen has a truly amazing backstory and they were major musical influences on almost everyone and have changed music forever.

  3. Our generation definitely gets excited by rap music. Personally I like it but it is not my absolute favorite. I find a lot of rap music very busy and that is probably why so many of teenagers my age like it. Also a lot of rap songs have a violent undertone and I guess why people like it. In 20 years I hope some bands of this generation are making it in theaters I think that would be super cool to see.

  4. The Music of my generation is unfortunately mumble rappers, the abstract artists of the music industry. They quickly churn out music of nothing as fast as possible without caring about quality. People buy it for the social norm. Nothing makes this music great, all it is is inaudible noise that makes me loath the music industry. How someone can consider this music is beyond me, I am aware I have an unpopular opinion but it is still mine.

    1. Your opinion may be unpopular, but I agree for sure. Great blog.

    2. Well the question is about bands and not just one single rapper also there are other artist from the early 2000s

  5. I do not think that there will be movies about music bands because like it would have to be about some people that change the industry or like made a big comeback. And there are so many musics stars today that it is hard to find the greatest story out of all them to make a movie about. Besides I doubt that it would be done because in 20 years there would be a new generation that has no idea who the music artist that would be chosen is so it is not like the movie would make much money.

  6. Our generation mostly listens to rap and all that new stuff.I don't, I mostly listen to old music just like queen. My parents like old music, so I was pretty much just brought listening to what they listened to when they were my age. Rap and trap and all that is super popular nowadays. People really like it, sometimes because of the ideas the song addresses, or even just the sound calms them down and makes them happy. It's cool the effect that music can have. I think it'll stay popular for a while, and yeah maybe in 20/30 years someone will make a movie on this music. I don't know if there'll still be movie theaters, but I do think lots of people would watch it. This is a very popular and powerful type of music in my opinion, therefor in a long time, I believe people will still be intrigued by the stories and history behind it.

  7. My personal favorite band is the band AC/DC. AC/DC are a very well known band but they are not very recent. They played some very good songs and love to listen to them. They played a lot of rock music which is my favorite genre. Overall a combination of amazing musicians and them playing my favorite genre is what made them my personnel favorite band.

Our generation listens to many different types of music but the mains would be hip-hop, Pop and contemporary R&B. Many popular musicians rose to fame by singing or playing this type of music. An example of this would be Drake. Though I do like these genres I prefer more 80-90s rock music.

I do believe that movie about our favorite band will be released. There many reasons to this including making a ton of money. The people know that they can make money by exploiting peoples nostalgia for their favorite bands. There are also some very interesting stories that could be dramatized to make for a good movie. I believe that the profitability of making movies about old bands could lead to more of them being released in the future.

  8. our generation usually listens to hip-hop/rap. I love this genre i love the flow and the artists ability to tell a whole story within a couple minutes while maintaining a steady flow and rhythm. I love listening to old rap and i love finding unknown songs and showing them to everyone.

  9. The type of music that this generation listens to really bad mumble rap. It's just horrible and requires no skill to write or rap. And the second they need any skill whatsoever they just switch right to auto tune. There won't be any movies because of how bad they are. The only modern artists that will get movies are talented ones. The only knowable movie about rappers was Straight Outta Compton. If they did make a movie about a modern rapper it wouldn't be about them but just their background.

    1. Of course there are good rappers who will tell a story but a lot of them are bad mumble rappers

    2. i disagree, i think that rap is sometimes a good way to tell a story

  10. Our generation (21st century), we listen to more of rap, pop, hip hop, etc. For example; 6ix9ine, Travis Scott, Post Malone, X, etc are some famous rappers that are known around the word and are loved by most because of their style of music. I prefer more of pop, because some rappers like 6ix9ine have a lot of loud noises/background effects that doesn't suit me but for other people, they enjoy his music. I also prefer more pop because its more soothing to hear and it has an enough amount of upbeat melodies. In 20-30 years from now, I think the more liked and admirable rappers/singers/bands will most likely have their own movies.

  11. I think that our generation generally listens rap music. I think that these songs are so great because they almost always have a great beat to them and they also have great lyrics which get you excited for the rest of your day. I think that in 20 to 30 years there will be no more movies about our favorite bands because there are less and less bands out there because most rappers are getting rich just from doing songs by themselves.

  12. In our generation, I feel like a lot of people like rap and pop, things like jazz aren’t very popular anymore. I also think that in our future there will be movies and bands that do give us a little ‘’history’’ since it’s in the future. I don’t really consider the music that our generation listens to to be great, I mean considering that adults say our music sucks compared to the past.

  13. The most popular music for our generation is rap. rap used to be known as music where the singers sang very fast now it turned into some thing where the beat is more apparent than the singing itself. rappers nowadays are kind of made fun of becasue of their looks. alot of them have crazy hair and weird tatoos, they are all going to look weird when they are old

    1. That is so true!

    2. So true! Some songs you can’t even here what they’re saying because the beat overpowers their mumbling voice.

  14. I don't really listen to knew music, I don't like new music. I personally think that some of the knew artists are kind of obnoxious. I more of an old music guy. But with all the drama that I hear on TV about these artists I do believe that there may be a few movies on our generations artists.

    1. I definetly agree, I like old music more. My friends always find it weird that I listen to old music. My friends and my parents say I have an old soul.

  15. A lot of people in this generation listen to rap. All it is is, money, drugs sex and a monotone guy lip syncing with auto tune. All they do is talk about money and how they are better than everybody else. They don't give a crap about anything. I saw Bohemian rhapsody and the worst part of it all was that my popcorn and sprite costed 15$. Cineplex robs me every time. Bohemian rhapsody was a very good movie but didn't really give you the feel of the 70s.

  16. I think that most people would agree that this generation listens to rap or pop. I personally, am not into that. Every rap song sounds the same and you can hardly understand what they are saying.
My favorite genre is Rock. I love groups such as Black Sabbath,ACDC, Guns n roses, Ozzy Osbourne, KISS. They have music that when they perform,I understand what they are saying. My first concert was Black Sabbath and they performed some of my favorite songs.

  17. Our generation definitely listens to more rap and a bit of pop. I personally like pop and some rap artists. I think our generation likes rap so much because they think it's cool. My forever favourite band was one direction but they split up so i don't think in 20 years they'll be a movie about them

  18. Do be honest I don't know what kids listen to these days. Also I don't really listen to music a lot. Though I think more people listen to Rap now than anything if I got it wrong don't kill me like I said I don't really listen to music. If I do I listen to different variety but not really rap I don't like it. I think what makes music good is the rhyme and lyrics of the song the lyrics most have a meaning and the rhyme has to be unique in a way.

  19. I think in our generation we kind of switch styles of music depending on what's ''in'' at the time. Right now I think that most kids listen to rap, not necessarily because they like it but because that's what everyone is doing. I'm not one who loves rap music, I'm more into pop music but I do have a few songs here and there that are rap that I enjoy listening to. Most rap songs are hard to understand and some songs talk about nonsense. I think what kids like in rap music is the beat and how it makes them feel more than anything else. I enjoy listening to older songs and some artists that aren't very popular now but they were a few years ago. For me personally, I love listening to old music and this is due to my parents who used to play old songs around the house when I was little and they continue to do it even today. In 20 or 30 years, I do think some bands and artists will be in theatres but not all of them, more of the popular ones today.

  20. The music that my generation listens to, just like all other generations before us, varies from many different genres and tastes. For the most part however, the kind of music I’ve noticed is most played by my classmates is the kind of music that tends to follow a specific pattern, making all the songs sound the same. I’m looking at you, trashy rap music. I apologize, but it has come to my attention that these songs all consist of the same unceasing “beat” and some rapper mumbling about how everybody sucks, or something along the lines of that. I’m unsure of what they are actually saying. They are many other genres of music popular amongst those of my generation, like the ever so present pop music, which I myself choose not to listen to regularly. I think what makes these types of music popular is the repetition in the songs, making them easy to remember. I doubt that in the distant future, movies will be released about the kinds of artists that I prefer to listen to, but there might very well be movies about our so called “legends”.

  21. hip hop rap is definitely our generations music, even if u don't listen to that kind of music, you can at least name one song. I think its so popular because its so catchy and also its just so fun to listen because the lyrics are often a little vulgar or funny sometimes so when you hang out with friends it gets you exited. yes I think there will be movies about rappers in our generation, and I already know about a couple.

    ReplyDelete
  22. There are many different types of music out there. Its all on what you like, personally I like mumble rap. Mumble rap is a newer form of rap that has only been coming up the past 4 years. I also like reggae and NWA. I do believe that there is going to be movies and tv shows about our modern day music. There is already a lot of shows on netflix that talk about the rap and hip hop culture. I think that music is a very important thing in our society.

  23. My generation listens to rap music, which mostly consists of "mumble" rap. I'm not really into that kind of music but I will occasionally listen to it. In 20 to 30 years from now, I think most likely they will make a movie about a popular band or solo artist because just like Queen, it's what was popular back then.

  24. I don’t think bands and artists have the same type of apprecaition in our generation compared to those of the past. Influential artist such as Michael Jackson, Prince and Whitney Houston aren’t appreciated by the youngsters as much as they are praised by our parents. Kids my age are mostly into rap. Our generation would consider xxx tentacion, Drake and Post Malone some of the best artists of all time even tho in reality they aren’t even in the same playing field as the greats I previously meantioned. It just goes to show the the evolution of the media and the music industry. Although these artists seem great at the moment I don’t think they will be remembered to the point where people are making movies about them. They have not gained that global significance yet.

  25. Nowadays, our generation listens to only one type of music: rap. We listen to rap so much that we consider some rap artists gods. And have to admit, I also love rap, but i don't consider some rap artists gods. One example was when everyone went crazy when xxxtentation died, but when Daryle Singletary died, I didn't hear anything. I think that why rap is so popular is that the beat is mostly catchy and words rhyme. Even thought some of my favorite rap bands are really good, I do not think that there will be movies about them
