A good memory I had with a teacher was actually with Mr Katz. It was during term one, when we got our report cards back. They messed up my average, which prevented me from getting honours even though I qualified for it. Mr Katz was so nice to fix it for me because I knew I deserved it and once he went to the office, I was very happy and grateful to have a teacher who cared.
A good memory I once had with a teacher was in grade six. We had gotten a test back, and I had a really high mark. However, i noticed that I had make three mistakes that my teacher marked as correct. Being the honest person I am, I told my teacher. She just erased my answer, put in the correct one, and said " Now it is correct." Since then, there have been multiple times when a teacher has not seen my mistakes, and every time I go tell them. Sometimes they keep my mark, or sometimes they change it.
Ironically one of the best memories that I have a had with a teacher was with one that I am very much not fond of. It was secondary one this teacher gave tons of assignments and projects. Me being the terrible student I was did not hand in the big project simply because I did not want to do it. However the teacher was willing to let me redo it. So I handed in the project more than a month late and got 100% on it and only had 5% deducted on that project making my mark a 95%.
My best memories with a teacher would have to be mrs MacDonald at the start of this year, on the first day she seemed a little like she would be hard on us maybe even a bit mean but she turned out to be an incredible teacher. Math had always been my worst subject and I was always so determined and finally with her my math grades improved a lot and my tests results were all in the high 80’s and 90’s.
My favourite memory I have had with a teacher was with my grade 3 english teacher. We had a raffle every month and I won so she brought me to subway and bought me a sandwich at lunch. I was very proud that I had a teacher that that bought me a sandwich from Subway and not Dagwoods. I remember that when I came back to school, every one was looking at my sandwich and I acting like i just won the lottery.
A bad memory I had with a teacher was with my fifth grade teacher. I was doing some french work when she told me to come with her. I was a little confused but I still complied. She the brought me out of the class and said she was going to call my parents and tell them what I had done. I was confused and she told to go back in the class saying that I knew what I had done. I then returned to my work thinking nothing of it. When I got home my parents were very angry and told me not to stab other children. I was very confused and also very grounded.
Don't even get me started with one of my teachers in elementary school (who I will not name), hint: he was horrible. But there was a specific time that i can remember vividly, it was grade six(just about the point where he was fed up with because he didn't like us) and there where these 2 people talking so he kicked them out, which was fine, but he he then kicks a third kid out of the class for literally being the least quite person in the class(this teacher HATED him). This has to be one of the funniest moments of my entire elementary years.
My favourite memory of a teacher I remember was my kindergarten teacher named Mrs Diana. She was the best teacher because she was so nice to her students, and me being in kindergarten, I didn't know anyone yet and on my first day of school, she was kind enough to set out name tags for everyone, and do a little get to know each other game. I remember just drawing a lot in class and doing fun activities, when I went into grade 1, she got pregnant shortly after that so I didn't see her at all after that. I've seen her a few times maybe in the grocery store, etc, but that's it, I miss her a lot and she tells me how much I've grown.
I really loved my grade 6 french teacher. She was so good at her job and she is actually a Vice Principle at John Rennie now. I loved her class and I really think she made me a lot smarter and I was sad when the year was over. She always had interesting projects for us and her class was a good time. She is also my neighbour!!
I have had a few teachers that stood out the one that most students probably know is Mr Terry. He was not to great of a teacher as in no one understood his explanations yet it was an amusing class and he also had good taste in his music which he would play before and after the class. I do not believe that he ever threatened students with a knife considering that he was okay with the class doing nearly anything and didn't care that half of us were on our phones. However as a teacher he couldn't covey the information to the class effectively at all and we were left with the option to either learn it ourselves or flounder. His eccentric attitude is what made the class interesting and he definitely did not deserve to be fired/quit/slandered and lied about.
Funny story that actually happened this year. I do not remember the name of this teacher as she is a sub but we had our times together. The last time she subbed for us was in science where everything happened. I got a notification on my phone so yes I looked at it and at the corner of my eye saw this sub coming towards me. So I quickly hid my phoine under my pencil case. She asked me where my phone was and I told her it was under my pencil case. She couldn't take it since she couldn't see it, she told me she would be keeping an eye on. I had the genious idea of pretending to use my phone in class after that when it was only my calculator. So I was fidgeting around with my calculator under the desk when she started coming my way and asked me for my "phone". So I played it really well and I looked all sad as I handed her my calculator. She literally told me she hates me. I kinda felt bad after the incident but whatever it's ok.
My grade 6 teacher Ms. Vincelli was such a sweet heart. She was always so kind and calm with the class and never raised her voice. Everyday within the last 5 mins of class she would all give us lollipops. Everyone loved her. The last day before winter break it had taken me awhile to get my things together before lining up to get my lollipp. I was the last one in the class and she gave me 3 lollipops!! She said that I worked really well in class that day and I deserved another one. The 3rd lollipop was for my brother that at the time was in grade 2. I loved her class so much.
In the second grade, I was in a class full of trouble makers, myself included. This is a bit of an exaggeration, of course, but that’s what our gym teacher Ms. Mushroom Hair would always tell us. Everyone hated her. One day, we were getting lined up to go outside for class, when my friends decided to start playing the game “who can sound the most like a farm animal?”. Obviously, I joined in with what must have been the most accurate chicken impression ever done by a six year old and luckily for me, that was right as she was doing attendance. The rest of my classmates were being loud as well, but I got called out and was told to go to the back of the line, in front of the stairs. Ms. Mushroom Hair told me to stay there and not to move. So I didn’t. When it was time, everyone filed outside to go play soccer and I, ever the genius, just stayed there. I was left alone, at the bottom of the stairs, and I waited patiently for the teacher to tell me I was allowed to move. It took her a good half hour to realize I wasn’t with the rest of the class.
I've pretty much always liked all my teachers except for some here and there. There was one specific teacher that I loved in the second grade, because she was so sweet, and we'd talk about our favourite movies and shows, and we never actually did anything that stressed us out. WE got next to no work, and it was just a better and simpler time. I felt as if she understood that very well, and it's awesome to feel so comfortable and at home when you're at school, and that's exactly how I felt back then.
I'm going to write about someone who I've written about before but still cannot talk about enough. That teacher is Mrs. Bron. She is the most wonderful, sweet and just amazing person AND teacher I've ever had. Everything made sense in her class, everything seemed to help when she explained it, I learned things that would help me in real life and I was always super excited to go her class. She is my favourite teacher ever and having her last year was absolutely amazing and I pray to god I have her again in grade 11. She is such a wonderful person, believes in respect for everyone, loves to teach her classes (at least I hope so, she's a brilliant teacher) and is a wonderful role model for everyone. If Mrs. Bron sees this, thank you so much Miss!!
I believe I was in 3rd grade, in music class... We had this teacher, Mme Madelaine, she was a special case. I don't think she liked children very much because every time we walked in, or any class for that matter, you could see the look on her face was filled with hatred towards us. One day, as we were practicing for I think it was a show, our teacher was talking( yelling ) at one of my classmates. She seemed very of that day( more evil that usual ), most of the time she would yell and complain about her life etc. But now, she was clenching her jaw, closing her fists and she looked like she was about to hit us, and she did. Not very hard, but she still laid a violent hand on my friend. We chose to not make much of it, we comforted our friend and went along with our day. The next time we had her it was, I guess, my turn to be yelled at. But this time she didn't lay a hand on me, she took a look at both her fists, closed them, then took a look at the piano in the corner of our class, walked over and stared profusely hitting the piano over and over again. She stopped once she had our attention and went on teaching our class. After that year I don't think anyone wanted her as a teacher anymore, she didn't come back and that was the last we heard of her.
A very great memory I had with a teacher was with Mr Alali. He was just the best. I was walking in the halls while eating, and he saw me and told me to go to the caf, so naturally I stuck the whole granola bar in my mouth. He got pissed and told me to go the the office. I was overcome with joy. Wow. Lucky me, I get to go to the office. He kept trying to give me a detention and I was so happy that he was. That moment was just an amazing and happy memory for me. (I hope no one took this seriously)
A good memory I have with a teacher was in sec 1 with mister Terry, one class I was finished all my work so he made my and Simon build his new chair for him. this is a good memory because it was a very funny story and it was a very easy way to get out of a very boring math class. It was very funny to see the face of jealousy of everyone when I walked back into class, they were all very disappointing that they were not able to escape the bores of math class.
I think my best memory with a teacher was with Ms. Bron, her class was so fun. She was more of a mom figure than a teacher to everyone in the class. Her class felt like a free period because a lot of the time we would just talk with her but yet we always got our work done. She would always tell us funny stories and would always tease us. Overall, she was an amazing teacher.
I wouldnt say this is the best memory I had with a teacher but it is something that I could remember. it was in mr allalis class in sec 2. What happened was me and Thomas skipped school on terry fox day and Mr allali knew somehow. He said he saw us on security cameras or something like that. The next day he told the whole class. Im kind of glad he didn't tell the VP. Later on, he found out that somebody was talking trash about him on ratemyteacher.com and he got really angry and threatened to take legal action. He thought is was either me or Thomas because in the review it said "my friend skipped school and Mr allali found out about it" so he thought it was either me or Thomas. The next class, he makes us write down the names of our friends and our adresses and our emails and stuff. The whole week this went down, thomas and I were laughing our asses off.
i think the best memory i have about a teacher is mr. doubois. he was such a great/chill teacher, wed get our work done and also have fun, much like English class. Lambros and i have made countless jokes in his class, but my best memory in his class was sex ed. it was hilarious the thing that made it even more fun is that he encuraged us to make jokes, I'm not going to repeat our jokes because it's extremely inappropriate out of context but ya
I do have some good memory of good and bad moments with teachers. Ex: a bad one was with mr. Katz sec 1 and a good one would be grade 5 with my french teacher. Mr.Dubois also had a lot of good memories of his class always joked around and funny had fun in that class. Mr. Lindner's class where we would watch twitch streams and youtube video or play madden mobile Thieug and Lex.
So i meant to do this blog yesterday but I did the other one. Oops. Anyways, I have had amazing teachers. There amazing for the way they teach and the way they help kids. Unfortunately, I have had a lot of bad teachers. I remember my grade 3 English teacher was terrible. She always wnated the kids to be miserable. I felt she got a lot of backslash the first 2 terms by all the parents. She ended up fixing her way of teaching. I had a math test that was pretty much all wrong but after class one day we went over it the right way and she ended up giving me an 80. You see that what makes a good teacher, learning how and what her kids are like and giving them a second chance,
the best thing that I remember a teacher ever doing was when my teacher in 6th grade flipped the desk of a kid who had done nothing to deserve it. I remember she was in a bad mood; however, that does not mean that she can flip a desk onto a kid the way she did. This may not be something a normal person would consider a good memory, but I do because it was the moment I realized I hated that teacher.
My worst memory with a teacher was when I was doing horribly in their class (Not really I got a 77 in their class) they took 15 minutes to look straight in my eyes while telling the whole class that I am not the kind of person who should be in IB. Somehow I didn't cry at all, but after arriving to the next class I literally balled my eyes out for 15 more minutes. I think that's why every time someone is one on one talking to me I inexplicably start to tear up. (I am horrible at staring contests)
Honestly my favorite teacher was my sixth grade teacher Mrs.Vincelli because she honestly was so nice because she would never yell in the whole seven years that I have known her and she would always give lollipops at the end of the day and she was always there for us and she was always so helpful and I cannot want for my younger brother to have her next year.
